Position description CGI is one of the largest IT and business consulting services firms in the world. We are seeking a Signal Performance and Processing Engineer for our CGI Space Team. Our Space Team acts as Industry to support the European Space Agency ESA and the European GNSS Agency GSA with various programs in the field of Navigation, SatCom and Earth Observation EO. Your future role and responsibilities The Signal Performance and Processing Engineer is responsible for the performance analysis and signal processing within the space team. Required qualifications to be successful in this role Essential qualifications Minimum of 2 years experience in the field of signal performance and processing satellite, aviation or aerospace systems Desired qualifications You have experience with digital modulations and radio propagation. You have experience with communications link budgets. You have experience in Software and process standards like ECSS, ISO. You are familiar with satellite control systems. You are familiar with ground and space segment environments. You are familiar with flight operations or spacecraft operations. You have proven experience with SW languages Java, Python, Matlab. Professional attributes You are a proactive, independent problem solver, yet also a great team player. You are able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You have high level analytical and problem solving skills. You want to contribute to a large, multidisciplinary and international project team. You are willing to travel abroad for training and missions. You have demonstrated good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills while working in a team. Education and certification You have a university degree MSc, PhD or equivalent in telecommunications, electronics, microwave, electrical, aerospace engineering, IT or comparable qualifications How to apply Are you ready to take your career to the next level? T-Mobile tops Open Signal, Ookla speed tests in US

(Telecompaper) T-Mobile US has come top among US mobile operators in speeds tests by Open Signal and Ookla's Speedtest in the first half of 2018. The mobile operator averaged 21.6 Mbps in the Open Signal 4G tests in Q2, up 2 Mbps from six months earlier, and reached a score of 27.86 over the first half on Speedtest. Verizon came second in the tests, with average speeds of respectively 20.6 Mbps and 26.02. AT&T was third with an average 15.1 Mbps on Open Signal and 22.17 on Speedtest. Sprint reached respectively 14.5 Mbps and 20.38.
