Spacecraft Operations Engineer for Sentinel 1 Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing satellite operations and ground station tracking network services to its users. In this role you will be responsible for the CBand SAR instrument and the Optical Communications Payload OCP and will cover the following tasks Validation, test and operation of the MCS Mission Planning System The definition of the Mission Planning interface with PDGS Inorbit commissioning SAR and OCP NDIU PSS validation, test and operation LEOP support Responsible for Payloads, Power, Thermal and Deployables. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in engineering or physics Spacecraft subsystem knowledge, preferably for SAR instruments or similar payloads Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations ECSS standards Familiarity with the ESOC environment, satellite control systems e.g. SCOS2000, operational simulators and low Earth orbit satellites would be an asset Experience dealing with external interfaces would be an asset Excellent organizational and communication skills Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Required knowledge and experience Essential Spacecraft subsystem knowledge, preferably for SAR instruments or similar payloads Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations Fluency in English, both in speech and writing coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields.
