For our activities in ESTEC, we are currently looking for an Operation and Maintenance of Payloads Systems Technician. Tasks and Responsibilities As Operation and Maintenance of Payloads Systems Technician you will have the following tasks and responsibilities Coordinate Calibration and Maintenance of all RF equipment in the Lab Coordinate transport of all incoming and outgoing equipment in the Lab Management and recording of all new assets and annual inventory of lab assets Monitoring and control of lent out equipment to industry Support Galileo test Systems integration in the lab Coordinate annual preventive maintenance of the entire lab including the clean room Operation of GNSS Payload using its associated EGSE and performing EndtoEnd Characterisation tests over temperature and or under vacuum. Requirements You should be a qualified technician in RF, microwave and millimetre wave engineering or should have a sufficient record of experience in microwave laboratories. Furthermore you should bring at least 4 years of professional experience and the following Familiarity with the utilization of general RF equipment such as network analysers, spectrum analysers, power meters etc. Good working knowledge of GNSS Payloads and operation of its associated EGSE Knowledge of characterising passive and active RF hardware in scattering parameters and over time domain TRL You should be dependable, reliable and be proactive in decision making and task execution Good knowledge of 1553 Bus Interface communication protocol and its operation as well as SCOS 2000 and LAB VIEW software. The successful candidate will join the Products Space Physics Engineering France department. You will join the Product Operations group and you will rapidly be responsible for one or several software products which help with the preparation and execution of scientific, telecommunication and observation satellite operations. You will analyse customer needs, define and perform revisions, and provide support to entry into service in France and at users. Based on your good knowledge of technologies, you will perform the synthesis of needs, understand the competition and the market, define the roadmap of products and you will be in charge of obtaining customer adhesion.You will animate the team and develop its privileged position at the centre of many processes.These products are part of a software suite which requires technical, architectural, functional and ergonomical coherency.
