We are looking for you as a Shift Lead for Galileo Constellation mfd Are you looking for a new and interesting activity in an outstanding project in the area of space segment? Your Mission Monitor and control on a 247 shift basis the GCS Ground segment Monitor and control on a 247 shift basis the GMS Ground segment nominally as backup, as prime only in case of unplanned GMS HO scenario Assist in configuring and testing the operational system to support the operations Onconsole involvement in System Validation Tests SVT, simulations and Launch and Early Orbits Phase LEOP operations authorised by the Spacecraft Operations Manager, following established rules, procedures and practices, and where applicable in accordance with the ECSS standards In case of ground or space segment anomaly, be responsible for first line support to taking corrective action, as necessary, applying the relevant contingencyemergency procedures approved for the mission to ensure safety of the spacecraft and the continuity of service provision Be responsible for informing the Spacecraft Operations Manager andor the official deputy when a major or critical anomaly is detected, in accordance with the established procedures and chain of command Participate to other operationsrelated activities small system development, procedures development or maintenance, etc upon request from the Team Leader Service continuity support in case of GCS operations activation in GCCI, for planned or unplanned events Your Qualification Solid technical background, preferably in IT or Telecommunications domain Bachelors degree in engineering or a comparable degree Ideally 4 or more years of experience in an Operations environment, preferably with experience working directly with spacecraftsatellites Experience working with computer systems and PC literacy Knowledge of databases i.e. Oracle, MySQL, Access and Java XML Methodical, disciplined and comfortable in working strictly following procedures Able to work fully autonomously and under pressure in an operations environment Able to work in a calm and correct manner under conditions of stress during potential contingencies Willing to work in an Operation Team on a 247 shift rotation pattern basis Teamplayer attitude and flexibility to adapt to the shortterm changes to the shift plan Fluent English is required for communications via email, phone and over the operational loop We offer Focused Training and performanceoriented career development Competitive remuneration Opportunity to work in exciting challenging international projects In case you find our offer attractive please send your application documents via Email.
