We are looking for a freelancer who can support us with the following project as soon as possible Your tasks The GNSS engineer mfd will be part of GfRs NAVCAST service team and provide GNSS Navigation expertise and support in the following areas Orbit determination and prediction Satellite clock corrections Code and Phase Bias corrections Time transfer and Precise Point Positioning PPP Ensuring the coherency of the data products System monitoring, control and operations Any other areas that might need support during service evolution. Task Description Support the definition and implementation of NAVCAST Operations Procedures Support NAVCAST software and hardware upgrades and service evolution Support andor lead NAVCASTrelated test and validation campaigns e.g., REALISM or GRSP Ensure the implementation of NAVCAST improvements and service stability enhancements Monitor, evaluate and report on NAVCAST system and service performance Operate NAVCAST hardware and software Close interaction with SW developers for implementation, testing and troubleshooting purposes Support to system design activities, e.g., wrt. To REALISM, GRSP or alike Participation in training courses Reticle, Bernese, etc. Support in the generation of test reports, project documentation, preparation of offers, etc. Support for other tasks according to project specifications and customer requests Your profile Experience in the NAVCAST area software and hardware Experience in GNNS navigation Experience in the satellite field Very good knowledge of English Knowledge of German is an advantage

Your Tasks Requirements analysis and definition of requirements. Design architecture and requirements breakdown to functional blocks. FPGA design, implementation and definition of constraints. Design documentation according to internal and normative standards. Creation and execution of test benches for RTL and timing simulation. Formal verification of FPGA designs timing analysis, code coverage, coding rule check. Support of the FPGA integration on the target hardware. Define verification concepts and plans. Conduct FPGA verification and test activities on the target hardware. Programming of test hardware for automated implemetation of hardware test cases. Your Qualifications University degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline Technical UniversityUniversity of Applied Sciences. Several years professional experience in VHDL design for synthesis and behavioral modelling preferably in the space industry. Knowledge of using state of the art design and simulation tools e.g. Libero, Modelsim. Experience in FPGA design and verification based on ECSSQST6002C. Experience in the mitigation of single event effects due to radiation in space. Experience with processor IP cores and SoC processor FPGA interfaces. Knowledge of programming languages CC or Python. Excellent communication skills, ability to work in teams. Good written and oral English and German.
