The tasks of the OPS QA consultant shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following Contributing to the provision of QA support and advice to members of OPS, to help ensure the correct implementation and performance of operational activities, in accordance with EUMETSATs Management System and all relevant OPS procedural documentation. Following selected operational activities, attending relevant operations meetings and identifying any aspects of concern of process QA relevance. Reviewing OPS procedural documentation procedures, guides, working practices, etc., ensuring consistency with the OPS documentation library in general and with the document conventions in use. Providing assistance guidance in the definition and implementation of processes to members of OPS. Supporting assessments of OPS processes and service reviews, recommending improvements where appropriate. Establishing, maintaining, analysing and reporting on metrics which provide insight into selected OPS processes andor operational services. Supporting Risk Management activities in accordance with the OPS Risk Management Plan organising and advising risk reviews, maintaining risk registers, following up mitigation actions, and producing report information. PROFILE The consultant shall have a university degree or equivalent in a technical subject and at least 3 years experience of a QA process assurance role, preferably in an operational 247 data processing andor serviceprovision environment. Experience of satellite ground segment operations would be of special value. Mandatory Knowledge, Experience and Skills Good knowledge of the ISO 9001 standard. Experience of working in an environment where an ISO 9001certified management system is used. Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience of documenting work activities in the form of process definitions, procedures and working practices, plus good userviewpoint writing skills. Experience of QA auditing andor process assessment. Skilled in using the Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel and Outlook. Complementary Knowledge, Experience and Skills Knowledge of ISO 31000 Risk Management andor experience of the activity. Knowledge of ISO 27001 Information Security Management andor experience of the activity. Possession of an auditing qualification, e.g. for ISO 9001. The TLS Engineer will be responsible for the practical application of the Integrated Logistic Support ILS philosophy in accordance with the Defence Standard 0060 00600, offering support to the through life cycle of a service to disposal. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include I Technical Tasks Make recommendations to offer a robust through life support solution to both the customer and the business. To influence system design using effective Logistical Support Analysis LSA tool sets. Help develop a through life programme strategy utilising faultrepair trend analysis. Carry out through life LSA tasks, for instance Level of Repair Analysis LORA, Life Cycle Costing LCC, Maintenance Task Analysis MTA. Review and assess through life support requirements based on Key Performance Indicators KPI. Review and update TLS documentation and processes. Review and maintain a Defective Report and Corrective Action System DRACAS database. Assist in the collation of evidence for sentencing processes and committees. II Project tasks activities Ensure correct ILSTLS standards and processes are applied to support customer requirements throughout the lifecycle of a service. Manage the logistical requirements of a project to ensure the Service Level Agreement SLA between the service provider and the customer is adhered to. Attend Design, Organisational review and Monthly Progress meetings. Plan, adapt and tailor LSA requirements for any given project andor service. Liaise with subcontractors customers on ILSTLS issues. Interface with other engineering departments. Manage ILSTLS deliverables for quality, critical time lines budget requirements. Present ILSTLS solutions to internal and external agencies as required. Assist in the development of mid term long term workload plans. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience EngineeringILS background with track record in the SatelliteTelecoms industry. Knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support ILS Basics, Repair Analysis and Logistics Support Analysis Planning. Understanding of Risk analysis, Statistical analysis. Knowledge and use of the appropriate ILS Standards i.e Defence Standards. Knowledge of Methodologies of DRACAS would be desirable. Experience in Technical data sourcing and analysis. Ability to assess and optimise stock levels. Strong communications skills and good team spirit. (Telecompaper) Brazilian operator Oi announced that LetterOne Technology (L1 Technology) has issued a press release stating that it has been informed by TIM that TIM does not wish to enter into further discussions about a business combination with Oi in Brazil. L1 Technology said that, without TIM's participation, L1 Technology can't proceed with the proposed transaction as previously envisaged. Given this information, Oi said it will evaluate the impact of the possibility of consolidation of the Brazilian market.
