Our German subsidiary ACSD provides consultancy service at EUMETSAT Darmstadt. Selected candidate will sign permanent full time contract and work at EUM premises. For our activities in Germany, we are looking for a person to provide MME Data Access Services Engineering Support. TASKS Requirements analysis of programme requirements against the MMEs Generation of services requirements, compliance matrices, design justification, verification plans and verification control documents Support to Analysis and evolution of current System Design to enhance the Data Access Services so as to meet programmes requirements Definition and maintenance of MME Data Access Services related Interface Control Documents ICDs Preparation of Integration and Verification test specification of the MME Data Access services Support to Ground Segment reviews Support to Ground Segment Integration, Verification and Validation IVV tests for the MME Data Access services. Mandatory University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline a minimum of 5 years working experience in the analysis of user requirements, software requirements, scalable software architectures, software development, testing, operations and maintenance of Data Access systems Engineering lifecycle aspect e.g. requirements definition, design, development, integration, verification and validation Service based approach for defining system specifications Tool based requirements management e.g. IBM DOORs Tool based Software Architecture and Design e.g. Enterprise Architect, UML 2.0SysML Definition and formalization of interfaces between complex systems In depth knowledge of portal technologies, web application server and web security concepts Hierarchical Storage Management Systems and Architectures i.e. SAMFSQFS Storage Concepts and Archiving Technologies NAS, SAN, Robotic Tape Libraries Formalised Software Testing Configuration Control Database Experience Schema design Testing frameworks e.g. JUnit, JMeter. High degree of autonomy and good analytical skills Able to work effectively in English and have knowledge of French EU national or valid work permit for Germany CV in Europass format Practical knowledge of the following will be an advantage Project Management Risk Management, Schedule management OGC Interoperability Standards such as CSW, WMS, WCS, WFS XML, XML Schema and XSLT technologies Distributed applications, TCPIP and Web services. CCSDS standards for data format representation.

For our activities in ESOC, we are currently looking for a Support Technician to provide field support to a permanent user community of around 800 users. The support to be provided will be very varied and will include support for Windows operating systems currently Windows 7 Microsoft Office Lotus Notes MAC and IOS Mobile and smart phones IP and TDM telephones PABX interfacing Helpdesk support Network printer support Third party liaison 1st line networking Video conferencing. Tasks and Responsibilities The key person will cover the following tasks Manning a local helpdesk of a rotational basis with first line call resolution Second level calls resolution in the field Video conference systems installation, upgrade, configuration and problem handling Explaining to users available services and how these should be requested Evaluating user requests and problems, raising tickets for each one Solving as many problems as possible Inventory and asset management Liaising with the central IT service desk CSD in Rome Evaluating tickets coming from the CSD and allocating them to the correct teams, both on and off site Planning PC and other equipment installation, including planned refreshes Assuming ownership of all tickets, continually monitoring these tickets and following them up as required to ensure SLAs are being met. Requirements The successful candidate will have had 2 to 3 years in a similar environment and have had experience with Windows 7 MS Office products and their usage Lotus Notes Apple MACs Mobile and IP telephony Video conferencing systems Asset management tools Problem logging database BMC Remedy ideally. In addition, candidates should have good customer interfacing skills and the ability to identify priority situations and deal with them accordingly. As well as being a prerequisite for the fluctuating technical environment, flexibility is also required for covering the helpdesk on a rotational basis, covering the extended day, covering the small site in Cologne and for the occasional operational support for satellite activity. VESA finalizes DisplayPort 1.4, adds 8K support, data compression, and USB-C
