We are involved in international unmanned and manned spacecraft programmes. We require staff, wishing to join our team to work in a dynamic international environment for the following position Software Product Assurance Support Engineer ENGSERVPASW20140103 Tasks and Responsibilities The Software Product Assurance Support Engineer will support the ESA PA Safety Manager for designated projects in conducting, monitoring assessing the implementation of the PA Safety Programme. The work will be performed at the European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The position will include the following tasks and responsibilities Contribute the establishing of the programmatic and technical software PA requirements within the framework of the ESA Software policy. Evaluate Contractors plans, technical specifications and efforts proposed for the execution of SW PA programme. Monitor and evaluate SW PA analyses, reports and technical notes. Participation to project reviews, meetings, Configuration Control Boards, Nonconformance Review Boards and Software Review Boards. Prepare design trade offs, analyses and reports using metrics to support project decisions. Participate to software product evaluations and process assessments. Establish and maintain databases to track NCRs, RFWs, action items etc. as required. Qualifications and Experience Applicants should have a Masters degree in software engineering or computer science with background on space engineering, 10 years of relevant professional work experience, familiarity with space product assurance practices together with a good working knowledge of appropriate working tools, practical experience in applying ECSS SW standards. Furthermore, candidates are required to have following skills Configuration management of complex systems. Software engineering and PA in critical applications. Ability to cope with pressure. Fluent in English. High level of flexibility. Good organization skills, good communication skills. We require staff, wishing to join our team to work in a dynamic international environment for the following position PA Safety Support Engineer ENGSERVPAE20140103 Tasks and Responsibilities The Safety Support Engineer will support the ESA PA Safety Manager for designated projects in conducting, monitoring assessing the implementation of the PA Safety Programme. The work will be performed at the European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The position will include the following tasks and responsibilities Establishing the PAS requirements baseline for all elements of the project and this in compliance with the ESA general Product Assurance and Safety policy. Reviewing contractors plans, specifications and efforts proposed for the execution of the project PAS programme. Monitoring project PA status identify relevant PA issues, including NCR SPR Waivers Problems Critical Items and systematically tracking all items. Assessing the implementation of PAS requirements by contractors, participating in design and safety reviews and directing the necessary preventive or corrective actions. Representing ESA in the Boards established within the project for the disposition of Nonconformances Failure Reviews, Test Reviews, etc.. Guiding and monitoring the application and procurement of EEE parts, materials and processes and controlling implementation of applicable requirements. Monitoring the manufacturing, integration and test activities. Defining the formal acceptance requirements and conducting the Acceptance Reviews of all contractual deliverable items. Controlling NCR Waivers Problems Critical Items. PA for the verification, qualification, acceptance delivery activities. The launch campaign. Participating in all project reviews, including safety reviews. PA resident at Lander integration site Turin and Orbiter integration site Cannes. Monitoring prime integration activities in particular NCR evolution and representing the customer during NRBs. Participation in TRRs IRRs TRBs incoming inspections, especially for CFIs. Qualifications and Experience Applicants should have a University degree in a relevant discipline, minimum 6 years of experience in Product Assurance and Quality Assurance in the aerospace domain.Experience in AIT work of spacecraft systems is required. Knowledge of Configuration Management or the implementation of Product Assurance within a quality system certified to ISO 9001 is an asset. Furthermore, candidates are required to have following skills Ability to cope with pressure. Fluent in English. High level of flexibility. Good organization skills, good communication skills.
