Citing dedicated service and numerous contributions, ASTM International Committee B02 on Nonferrous Metals and Alloys presented Gary M. Kralik Distinguished Service Award to Abbas Mirza, Ph.D. With ASTM since 2007, Mirza served as vice chairman of Subcommittee on Lead, Tin, Antimony and Their Alloys (B02.02) since 2010 and served multiple terms as B02 membership secretary. Mirza also received B02 Award of Appreciation in 2011.

ASTM Honors Ergon's Jimmy Rasco with Charles A. Johnson Award.

Jimmy Rasco of Ergon, Inc. (Jackson, MI) was honored by ASTM International with Charles A. Johnson Award for contributions to ASTM Committee D27 on Electrical Insulating Liquids and Gases. As D27 member and chairman of Subcommittee on Mineral Oils (D27.01), Rasco contributed to development of several international standards concerning analysis and specification of mineral oils and recycled oils, oxidation stability, and dissolved gases in insulating liquids.

ASTM International Committee E01 on Analytical Chemistry for Metals, Ores and Related Materials presented Ted Linde Leadership Award to Daniel Geist. A member of ASTM since 2006, Geist is director of operations at Analytical Reference Materials International, part of LGC Standards. He plays an active role on multiple E01 groups, holding leadership roles such as chair of Subcommittee on Fundamental Practices and secretary of Subcommittees on Terminology/Editorial and Long-Range Planning.
