This could be your future. Become part of our successful team! Specific tasks to be performed Support Mission Studies from Phase 0 up to Phase B2CD. Running detector technology development activities and detector predevelopment activities. General tasks to be performed Support to technology development contracts and performance of inhouse design work. In particular, assist in the establishment of requirements and configurations for payload equipment and subsystems involving Solid state lasers. Fibreoptic components. Detectors and focal plane instrumentation. Quantumelectronic devices and systems, including optical atomic clocks. Superconducting devices and sensors. Review and evaluation of technical documentation and design dossiers. Perform analysis and elaborate outline design and configurations. Assist, where appropriate, external and internal testing, verification and evaluation of optoelectronic systems and components, including ground and airborne measurement campaigns. Contribute to the definition, maintenance and use of design, engineering and verification software tools for photonic systems and components. AndOr Assist in the calibration of the optical test setup to allow quantitative laser damage tests. Operate the Laser Induced Damage test setup during test sequences. Prepare test samples. Assist in the analysis and interpretation of the test data. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required PhD or Msc in Photonics or Optics. At least 4 years of relevant industrial work experience in Detector technologies. Operation and characterization of CCD and CMOS detectors. Xray detector operation and characterization is an asset. InGaAs and MCT detector operation and characterization is an asset. Design and implementation of new measurement methodssetups is an asset. Practical laboratory experience in the design, development and verification of OptoElectronic systems, vacuum technology, numerical measurement analysis and associated engineering software tools e.g. LabView, Matlab, Python is an asset. Knowledge of environmental testing of space hardware is an asset. Experience with detector Frontend electronics design and development is an asset. Role Description Summary As part of the Solutions Engineering team, the Government Solutions Engineer will work directly with the Government Solutions Manager and associated team members to develop technical and product led solutions for the Government segment. ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Spacecraft Engineer, Payload Subsystem will part of the team in charge of Payload Engineering, spacecraft inorbit operations and performance monitoring, as well as support to spacecraft planning, design and procurement for the GEO andor MEO Fleet. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULTS AREAS Monitor health status and provide oncall support for satellites in operation, including recovery and followup of eventual spacecraft offlimit conditions, anomalies and service interruptions Ensure Customer satisfaction in line with SLA terms and maximize satellite fleet availability and longevity Support procedure development of payload mission of the current and upcoming satellites. Ensure lessons learned are applied. Develop and maintain new integrated payload applications and tools required for performance monitoring, operation automation, resource optimization and constellation performance Act as Payload expert for other people in SES Group and to satellite users pertaining to satellite performance. Support endtoend design solutions. Requires a thorough understanding of endtoend communications link budgets and infrastructure Support and prepare for spacecraft anomalies and contingency operations, including new operational solutions, for contingency operations at spacecraft and fleet level Support Payload mission, operations and phasing of the MEO satellites into constellation.
