Flight Dynamics Operations HERACLES Mission Analysis Engineer 1923033 Job Description We are looking for a Mission Analysis Flight Dynamics Operations Engineer for our client ESOC. You will join a team primarily responsible for Mission Analysis for, but which also supports other activities within the scope of general Flight Dynamics operations engineering services and Lunar missions. The main mission to be supported will be HERACLES. The general activities to be supported by the service are depending on the phase of the mission Mission Analysis Trajectory Optimisation focusing on the three body problem especially in the SunEarth and the EarthMoon three body system. Navigation and Guidance for Mission Analysis Concurrent Design Studies for space missions Mission Analysis Tools Development, environmental models, numerical integration techniques, local and global optimisation techniques and algorithms Mission Analysis for human spaceflight beyond the Earth orbit General Flight Dynamics operations engineering activities Mandatory Skills and Experience Experience in Trajectory Optimisation focusing on the threebodyproblem especially in the SunvEarth and the EarthMoon threebodysystems Experience in Navigation and Guidance techniques for Mission Analysis activities Experience with Concurrent Design Studies for space missions Experience in Mission Analysis Tools Development, environmental models, numerical integration techniques, local and global optimisation techniques and algorithms Knowledge about operational and ground segment aspect in the missionarchitecture design Knowledge about the special requirements of human spaceflight beyond the Earth orbit. Experience of designing and testing EGSE for the purposes of powering the satellite during the AIT phase. Good understanding of spacecraft mission lifecycle and milestones e.g. MDR, PDR, CDR, etc. Good understanding of system engineering managing requirements through the full project lifecycle. Desired Skills Experience Demonstrable experience of spacecraft design lifecycle at all stages from initial concept to design, test, and operations. Operational experience of power systems on spacecraft missions. Experience of analysis radiation tolerances and knowledge of radiation hardness assurance for Low Earth Orbit applications.
