ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The main task will be to manage and proactively contribute to the integration of new customers andor products onto O3b mPOWER constellation. You will focus on the optimization of the satellites and gateways resources based on the commercial opportunities and product characteristics. The planning approach shall include a broad perspective within the context of GEO MEO multiorbit planning landscape and Lifecycle Service Orchestration LSO architecture. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Responsible for the management of daytoday activities for satellite and gateway resources of O3b mPOWER within the overarching SES network architecture in both short and longterm timeframes. This includes Optimization of O3b mPOWER satellites constellation and gateways resources to enable the Sales to meet their revenue targets. Advice on resources availability for O3b mPOWER constellation and approved resources. Attend customers meeting as required and support RFP requirement in coordination with Sales. Resolving any identified potential contention issue for O3b mPOWER constellation to determine if there are alternative resources that can meet the needs of all involved customers to maximize SESs revenue. Escalate contention and drive the resolution. Responsible for support to the development of Asset Management of O3b mPOWER related resources management tools. The Configuration Management Engineer CME is assigned to selected projects and programmes of the Navigation Directorate for all aspects of expert level Configuration CM. product data and information management. Besides the core tasks in CM, the tasks also entail the responsibility for the continuous oversight for the Navigation Directorates NAV information and records flow and supports actively the Directorates digitalisation activity as part of ESAs Digital Agenda. This includes control over the Directorates NAV repositories, tools and information related processes as well as external support services. The direct interface to the Directorates internal and external users and steering effectively related administration activities is essential to the task. The CME drives or takes actively part in documenting and reviewing existing and projected new processes related to the use of digital system configuration and documentation systems and other relevant IT tools. Radio Navigation Engineer

Position Reference 938 On behalf of ESA, we are currently looking for a Radio Navigation Engineer to work in its Site ESTEC in the city of Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The key person will mainly work on GALILEO Ground Segment processing facilities, supporting the GALILEO Ground Mission Segment GMS team. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Evaluation of GMS design and evolution, with a specific focus on GMS Algorithms and performances incl. RAMS aspects, ensuring the design, development, deployment, verification, tuning and validation of the Ground Segment functions that generate and monitor the navigation products i.e. Ephemeris, Clock, Group Delay, Code Phase Biases, etc. ... in line with the allocated performances for service provision i.e. accuracy, continuity, integrity and availability requirements and development constraints. Evaluate GMS design evolutions for robustness improvements e.g. barrier enhancement and new functions. Followup of the procurement actions related to the implementation of a set of GMS Elements including support to the monitoring of industrial contracts for the developments and generating and reviewing relevant documentation such as technical requirements. Participation to GMS related Integration, Verification and Qualification IVQ activities, such as test cases definition and preparation, formal tests witnessing, Verification Credit collection at Element and Segment level, anomalies followup at Element, Segment and System level. Support to GMS engineering activities, as well as Galileo System level engineering activities, such as requirement engineering, change management and baseline evolutions DCPsDCNs, assessment of contractors RFDsRFWs new services evaluation and contribution to proposal assessments. Contribution to GMS and System reviews and support to Galileo Ground Segment next generation developments. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree MSc minimum in telecommunications and signal processing, electronic engineering, computer science or other scientific disciplines, with at least 4 years of relevant working experience in these fields. Experience in the management and monitoring of industrial activities, including participation in reviews. Specific knowledge in the design and testing of Ground Segment algorithms related to the generation and monitoring of the navigation products i.e. Ephemeris, Clock, Group Delay, Code Phase Biases.... Knowledge on Resource Abstraction layers e.g. hyper convergence, virtualisation, containerisation and data centric processing. Relevant experience with the GNSS and GALILEO systems and equipment, along with a good knowledge of Radio Navigation processing, simulation and testing systems. Eligibility for security clearance from your national security administration. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. The following skills would be highly desirable Specific knowledge on algorithms for clock ensembles, realtime clock anomaly detection and automatic fault compensation.
