Cotton yarn prices have stopped rising in India where cotton fiber prices have sharply fallen in the last seven days, in line with a dramatic decline of the international cotton market. The deterioration of US-China trade relations which has triggered the fall of cotton prices is therefore immediately benefiting Indian spinners. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Pakistan Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

Spun yarn prices have further declined in Pakistan, with demand weakening during the month of Ramadan. Yarn export prices have however not dropped, as demand from foreign customers remained strong. Polyester prices could eventually fall after Chinese PSF prices have heavily declined, our correspondent reports. China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Spun yarn prices have begun dropping across the board in China, in line with a decline of fiber prices. Spinners are forced immediately lowering their offers, being confronted with high inventory levels after a disappointing peak season.
