Perform electrical integration and automated test of electronic units and systems. Develop Automatic test procedures ATP using a bespoke high level SW language, for use during the test campaign for control of the test environment and the unit under test. Support to spacecraft integration, test, environmental test and launch activities Definition of electrical test aids and overseeing their procurement, manufacture and validation. Support the Team leader and AIT manager in their duties. Pyrotechnic handling, installation and safety EGSE Commissioning and Validation o Produce EGSE preventative maintenance procedures validation based on EGSE supplier test procedures, including the formulation of tests required to ensure the EGSE is fit for use. o Configure and commission a dedicated small EGSE LAN for interconnection of all the EGSE Equipments TCPIP, network topology, IP addressing. o Commissioning and decommissioning, packing, unpacking, setup, shipment support and item inventory of EGSE systems at spacecraft test locations, both at Stevenage and at offsite Environmental test and Launch sites around the world. o The design and procurement of EGSE test aids and test cables, including the production of associated drawings. In addition to the above tasks the contractors engineers will be expected to interface with other members of the Airbus DS prime team and with the ESA team on an ad hoc basis. In particular the contractors engineers shall be prepared to Participate in Project technical and progress meetings Provide inputs to system progress report Participate in the regular progress meetings between Airbus DS and ESA Specific Competence and Qualification Requirements University degree or equivalent in aerospace engineering or other relevant field Several years relevant experience, ideally in aerospace In addition, candidates should have good organisational and analytical skills, as well as a proactive attitude towards solving problems. Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.

Role Specification Design, analysis and configuration of power systems for satellite applications using solar generators, batteries and control units Support to the selection and supervision of subcontractors Production and maintenance of documenation analyses, specifications, test procedures, reports and design descriptions Oversee the interfaces with other satellite subsystems Development of test concepts and provide suitable support during testing Support to satellite projects from start to customer acceptance Interface to customers and subcontractors Required Qualifications A degree in engineering with a major in electrical engineering or comparable qualifications Several years of professional experience in the space business are a plus Knowledge in electrical power supply of satellites Experience with hardware projects in phase BCD, preferably in the field of electrical power systems Experience with CAE development tools Excellent communication skills, flexibility and ability to work independently Fluency in spoken and written English

Electrical AITAIV Engineer 1411018 Job Description The contractor will provide support for the AIT activities of the Aeolus project, covering all necessary phases up to the launch of the satellite. The postholder will be assigned to support the Aeolus project for the AIT and be responsible for Monitoring the AITAIV plans produced by the satellite prime contractor and ensuring that they are coherent and consistent with the baseline schedule via regular AIT meetings at the prime contractors premises. Identifying potential risks to the schedule and identifying workaround solutions and risk mitigations which can be implemented. Participating to TRRs and PTRs as the representative of the project in coordination with the ADMAeolus Instrument and AIT, Engineering and PA Managers. Participating in NRBs and TRBs as one of the representatives of the project and ensure that there is adequate support for AIT activities and AIT reviews, both within industry and ESA. Ensuring that all GSE is complete, configured and properly verified in time for AIT activities and that all SW and Automated Procedures required for SC verification are consistent with the need. Reviewing AIT procedures with the support of project and DTEC technical responsibles. In particular, that the test procedures properly define the requirements to be verified by the test and that these verifications are properly traced to the test report and the VCD. Supporting the Engineering manager in Verification Control Boards. Supporting the Aeolus launch campaign ensuring the launch facilities are in a state of readiness for the satellite and are inspected and verified, that transfer of all GSE is completed and that these are verified prior to satellite launch readiness preparation consistent with the need. Monitoring the completeness of all AITAIV activities up to launch in accordance with an agreed launch operations plan. Required Skills and Experience University degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent. Extensive experience of system level functional and performance testing. Experience of at least one complete satellite test and launch campaign in an AITAIV role. Experience of satellite verification engineering, Good knowledge of GSE operations and infrastructure. Ability to travel to the satellite prime contractors premises frequently and to act as onsite support where appropriate during the satellite test and launch campaigns. Note that it is expected that the time at the satellite primes premises in Airbus Stevenage as onsite support will be a minimum of 50 of hisher total allocated time, as well as 100 supporting the launch campaign onsite. The candidate is expected to act as an integrated member of the contractors AITAIV team in relevant phases, e.g. during extensive thermal test campaign in CSL.
