Electrical Mechanical Engineer for multidisciplinary Projects

For our activities in ESTEC, we are currently looking for an Electrical Mechanical Engineer for multidisciplinary Projects. Main responsibilities Tasks and Responsibilities As Electrical Mechanical Engineer for multidisciplinary Projects your tasks will be the following Coordinating the execution of infrastructure projects in line with sound project management principles and with the ESA applicable procedures Providing technical and administrative assistance to the ESA ESTEC Infrastructure Section discipline engineers civil, electrical, mechanical Collecting functional customer requirements covering technical facilities Drafting technical specification and tender documents Supporting the procurement process between ESA ESTEC Infrastructure section and ESA ESTEC Contract Office. Possible procurement methods can be any of the following open tender, competition between preselected companies frame contractors, Purchase Order and direct negotiation Supporting ESA staff in the procurement process and in the technical evaluation of offers Supporting ESA staff in the control of project schedule, cost, supervision of works, communication with stakeholders, production of reports. Ideal candidate Requirements You should bring a Master level degree in either electrical, electromechanical or mechanical engineering, 5 or more years of project management coordination experience in building infrastructure and the following sound knowledge of project management principles good knowledge of European and Dutch applicable norms and legislation in their field of expertise a high level of proficiency in the following MS Office software packages Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project, Visio. You must be fluent in English, both written and oral forms. Knowledge of Dutch is an asset for the position. Electrical Functional Test Engineer

We are currently looking for an Electrical Functional Test Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Electrical Functional Test Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will be part of a systems engineering team for large space projects supporting the verification of the electrical architecture of an instrument satellite. You will work in an international project environment. You will have the following responsibilities Establish electrical and functional test specifications based on the applicable requirements in coordination with the electrical and data handling responsible lead engineers Ensure the compatibility of the test spec with the AIT test sequences, needs and boundary conditions Produce efficient test procedures on instrument satellite level in coordination with the AIT team and systems engineers Produce specific test procedures on equipment level being used for incoming inspections and functional validation Set up test environment, define, build and test specific EGSEs as needed on equipment level Plan and conduct the electrical and functional tests according to approved test procedures. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Diploma Master Degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline At least 3 years of professional experience in electronic development activities for space projects with either analog digital or electrooptical background Strong experience in defining, conducting and documenting electrical and functional testing Detailed knowledge and experience is required in Analogue and digital circuit design to understand the functionalities of the system to be tested as a basis for definition and conductance of relevant electrical tests Operation principles of motors brushless DC stepper motors Experience in operating electrical measurement equipment. Good knowledge of relevant general standardsECSS MIL standards with respect to general electrical functional testing. Producing test software to control electrical test equipment with scripting languages e.g., Phyton or similar and LabView Awareness on hazards in testing of space electronics Knowledge on Electrical Architectures and Data Handling Systems for space programs on board computers, communication busses, mass memory, space qualified microprocessors, FPGAs Willingness for frequent travel. Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. This job is located in Munich.
