We are currently looking for a Junior Development Engineer Electrical Systems for Radar Applications to support our customer in Germany. Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following responsibilities Support of the work package Electrical Systems Engineering for Radar Applications and deliveries of the related items hardware, models, documentation in space programs during the phases BCD Analysis of applicable highlevel requirements Flow down of above requirements to functional chains and subsystem electrical requirements Support definition of the electrical architecture of the radar payload Support definition of system components such as Antenna Control Electronics, Antenna Power Supply Distribution System, Mass Memory and Formatting Unit Coengineering with suppliers. Support coordination of relevant design and MAIT Manufacturing Assembly Integration and Test activities at supplier level Support of relevant operations and AIT department activities at System level Contribution to related internalexternal Research and Development and improvementsstandardisation initiatives. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Min. Master degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline Hardwaresoftware design knowledge is an asset Good communicator and speaker, rigorous and team oriented Willingness for business trips Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of the German language or another European language is an advantage. End to End Ground Systems Integration Testing Engineer 1923028 Job Description We are looking for an Integration and Testing Engineer specializing in End to End Ground Systems. You will join a team in the E2EGSRF facility responsible for the integration and testing of ground segment elements e.g. MC systems, ground station components etc., throughout the systems engineering lifecycle, from supplier to enduser. The E2EGSRF facility is also where critical mission tests, e.g. RF compatibility tests between sc and ground stations, are performed from. Additionally, integration and testing of ground segment components, standards and technologies takes place at any maturity stage, allowing assessment, confidence building and risk reduction for target customer missions. The E2EGSRF is also intended as a platform for Independent Verification and Validation, both at ground segment subsystem and system level, if required. You will work in a team to support the Endtoend Integration and Testing activities by providing integration and test services for ground s systems in the End to End Ground Segment Reference Facility. Position Reference 323 You will have the opportunity to assist in the engineering activities of the data processing systems and application software for the operational and future programmes within the Data Processing Systems and Applications Competence Area, including Processing Frameworks. Your tasks shall include day to day operations and maintenance, to the handling of anomalies, upgrades and configuration changes for these facilities. Tasks will also contain the settingup and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures. For procurements and maintenance services provided externally, you shall provide support to the management of the technical interface with the external contractors. Besides the above described routine tasks, you will also be expected to contribute to requirements specification, design and system engineeringreengineering, development and testing activities in the field of science data processing that will become necessary for existing and future production systems. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Maintenance and development of the Data Processing SystemsApplication Software. Procurement activities for maintenance and evolution activities, such as specification and maintenance of requirements for new or enhanced Data Processing SystemsApplications Software components that are going to be implemented by external contractors monitor their detailed design and implementation generate the test plans, test specificationprocedures, perform the acceptance of the externally developed components, support the integration testing in the ground segment and the operational validation Contribute to the definition and design of architectures of data processing ground segments and their components, their interfaces, and the validation and verification methods. Perform routine tasks in operational systems under configuration control such as Anomaly investigations, documentation and classification. Participation in relevant Anomaly Review Boards. Follow up of the delivery of SW resolutions for these anomalies. Contribute to Configuration Management change control practices. Contribute to building and distribution of application software releases and patches. Verification of correct facility installation for the assigned facilities. Contribute to the development, integration and configuration management of software developed by third parties, its installation, and configuration and testing. Perform SW testing in a structured approach to verify that delivered SW is fulfilling the requirements or to demonstrate that problems have been corrected. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a Masters Degree in the relevant discipline. You have experience with engineering of large, UNIX or LINUX based, complex, realtime data processing systems, including requirements specification, design, software maintenance or development, formal software testing and system integration. You have very good technical writing skills, in particular in the area of formal technical documentation e.g. requirements specification and design documentation, test plans and procedures, maintenance procedures. You have experience with source code control systems e.g. Subversion, Git. You have experience in software anomalies analysis, debugging, profiling, fixing and processing. You possess very good communication, presentation and team working skills and are able to cope with very high workloads. You are able to learn and develop new skills and knowledge. This includes the ability to rapidly absorb, and make use of, information presented in written and oral communications in a dynamic context. You are capable and willing to work within a multidisciplinary context in cooperation with other teams. The ability to maintain a system overview is essential. You shall have a systematic approach to work, be able to plan your work and to cope with tight schedules and multiple tasks. You shall have the capability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation. You are able to manage the technical interface with external partnerscontractors, based on a solid system engineering understanding. The following skills would be highly desirable You have experience and knowledge of operating systems and application software upgrades andor porting to new platforms. You have a good knowledge of objectoriented software design, implementation, and maintenance, including the use of UMLSysML based tools for supportingdocumenting the design, at least at the architectural level. You have experience in web technologies and programming e.g. Apache, CGI, JavaScript, XML. You have experience in programming languages e.g. C, Java, Python.
