Job description For our customer, ESAESOC in Darmstadt, Germany, we are seeking an experienced Systems Operations ICT Engineer to support the European Galileo mission. Under the direct authority of the Head of the Galileo Ground Infrastructure Operations Section, in the Galileo Operations Procurement Service Division of ESA, you will ensure that the ground ICT infrastructure and in particular the Galileo Data Dissemination Networks GDDN and EDDN is operationally consistent with project requirements to deliver Galileo Navigation Services reliably and sustainably. Responsibilities As a Galileo Systems Operations ICT Engineer you will be responsible for Supporting the development and implementation of the ICT operation concept for the Galileo systems Contributing to the procurement of the Galileo GDDN and EDDNs, by updating the requirements in response to the Galileo System Level Requirements to the evaluation of the technical offers and potential negotiations Ensuring the compliance of the GDDN and EDDN with the project requirements by following the validation and qualification of the services as well as the successful transition to operations of the new communication links, meeting timely availability in line with the project development requirements Monitoring the provision of the GDDN and EDDN services as defined by applicable SLAs, following the progress of the implementation of new requirements, monitoring the anomalies resolution, and evaluating the service performance Leading the coordination of the validation, operations, maintenance and endto end communication systems of the Galileo Ground Segments in close coordination with the network equipment providers Following up the development of the Ground Segment ICT, providing the required operations inputs for design, deployment and integration up to support to acceptance Ensuring followup of any problems in any of the ICT systems in use, detected during infrastructure operation and validation at GCCs, through to disposition and together with the relevant Segments as required resolution Contributing to the definition of the data network concept and related Ground operations of the Galileo Second Generation, including Operations Concepts, Operations Requirements and Operational Service documents Providing technical support to the procurement of the Galileo Segments and System within the his domain of expertise as required This is a fulltime position at ESOC, in Darmstadt, Germany with a planned starting date in December 2015. This work requires frequent travels within Europe. Qualifications Competencies Applicants shall have an university degree, in a relevant discipline or other suitable qualification. Required Skills Significant experience in position for communication engineering, system integration and validation, with some experience in management tasks A proven experience in in a commercialindustrial environment is required Familiar with Spacecraft and Ground Segment subsystem knowledge Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Experience related to developments in the Galileo project GIOVE, IOV, FOC will be considered an asset Able to carry on activities and interact in a complex teamwork environment. Some experience dealing with external interfaces The ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities The position requires a great deal of independence and selfmotivation. Jefferies Group Expects 3D Systems to Earn Q4 2016 Earnings of $0.17 Per Share
