994 ABPZ20 KNHC 291715 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 AM PDT Sat Sep 29 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Rosa, located several hundred miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, and on newly-developed Tropical Storm Sergio, located several hundred miles south-southwest of Acapulco, Mexico. Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next five days. && Public Advisories on Tropical Storm Sergio are issued under WMO header WTPZ31 KNHC and under AWIPS header MIATCPEP1. Satellite imagery indicates that thunderstorm activity associated with the area of low pressure a few hundred miles south of Acapulco, Mexico, has become more concentrated during the past several hours. Satellite-derived wind data indicate that an area of low pressure centered a few hundred miles south of Acapulco, Mexico, continues to produce tropical-storm-force winds, mainly to the northeast and east of the poorly defined center. However, the data also show that the system does not have a well-defined center.
