We are looking for a Flight Dynamics Software Engineer who will play a crucial role in the design and development of Flight Dynamics software in various Space projects, such as our PLENITER Orbit suite. The successful candidate will work in our Darmstadt office in the Flight Dynamics Team. Responsibilities Conceptual design implementation and validation of operational flight dynamics algorithms e.g. trajectory optimisation, collision avoidance, orbit determination, orbit propagation, attitude modelling, etc. Software architecture and functional design Technical consultancy for several ongoing space projects Participation in the proposals for upcoming mission opportunities Direct reporting to the Flight Dynamics Team leader Skills and Experience The successful candidate shall have A university degree in aerospace engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent A solid knowledge of spacecraft flight dynamics and celestial mechanics 3 years of relevant experience in design, development and validation of flightdynamics related software Experience in objectoriented programming Capability to learn different software and scripting languages Analytical and structured mindset i.e. capable of analysing and solving complex problems Capability to work independently and under time pressure Proactive and teamworking attitude Fluency in English The following skills would be of advantage Proficiency in Java, C, Python Familiarity with flight dynamics operations operational experience Experience with flight dynamics software tools Knowledge in the field of spacecraft Guidance, Navigation Control Experience with other programming languages Join us With SCISYS you get the chance to take responsibility for your own and varied professional activities, while there is always room for producing new ideas and contributing your personality. Knowledge of modern software engineering practices and standards applied to realtime systems. Knowledge of Space Systems and Space System Engineering is necessary.
