Heshe will be assigned to the support of activities of the Software Division in both Ground and Flight areas. This encompasses the maintenance, development, installation, operation and support of the Software Systems Laboratory facilities including Collaborative Software Development Environment CSDE and all the related tools and applications Eclipse, JIRA, Confluence, Virtualisation technologies, DOORS, etc.. Avionics Test Bed ATB, including system simulation and test environments. Software Verification Facilities SVF and related tools as compilers GCC, LLVM, Debuggers, software simulation and emulation including HWintheloop. Satellite Reference DataBase SRDB and related tools SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL. Electrical Ground Support Equipment EGSE Reference Facility and in particular related development technologies. The administration of procurement Purchase Orders and deliveries. The installation of Laboratory items, including installation of items procured or delivered in the frame of projects and the setup of configurations sometimes in cooperation with other TEC laboratories. The Software Systems Division Web site including Web application development. Ideal candidate Applicants for this post should have a university degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, together with extensive experience in the Software development methods and tools. Results orientation and relationship management are considered important. The candidate should be familiar with modern software engineering practices and tools Knowledge in Software production and test processes e.g. continuous integration and associated tools is mandatory e.g. JIRA, Jenkins, Confluence, DOORS, Eclipse. Software practical experience, Object Oriented design methods as UML and eCore, databases SQL, compilers, XML, XSLT, Linux, Windows and web application development as well as programming and scripting languages such as C, C, TclTk, Python, Java are an important asset. Knowledge in software standards space ECSS, aircrafts, train, automotive is interesting. A proactive and cando attitude is expected. Job description For our customer European Space Agency ESA EGNOS we are seeking a Software Development Engineer to cover the needs of the development team overseeing the EGNOS V2 and V3 Subsystem activities as well as IVQ. Responsibilities You will be assigned to provide engineering support for the development of EGNOS V3 Ground Segment in the area of Hardware and Software, in particular but not limited to, for realtime and critical Subsystems development. This Service Area will support ESA for the daytoday coordination, monitoring, engineering and reporting on the EGNOS V3 project. The tasks to be performed under the service are as follows 1. Engineering and management support of the software development and qualification at System and Subsystem level within EGNOS V3 Procurement. 2. Participate in Industrial subcontractors meetings and reviews in Subcontractor premises. 8. Participation in representation of ESA in the V3 NonConformance board for issues raised in the V3 system. 9. Participating within EGNOS Project Office team to Industrial prime meetings and reviews. 10. Support the EGNOS Project Office team in Industrial proposals and change request evaluations. 11. Weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting and documentation to development teams and internal departments This is a fulltime position located at EGNOS, Toulouse, France. The desirable start of work is June 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate shall have Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, physics or Computer science with proven knowledge and experience in the fields of Navigation and related data. HW and SW realtime development experience. Experiences in, procurement of industrial activities, in safetycritical software and realtime software development and verification. Experience in the integration, verification and qualification of large software systems Knowledge of SBAS Systems and have sufficient knowledge of the Civil Aviation domain mission, organization, standards, etc. Knowledge in EGNOS development applicable standards ECSS, DO178B, DO254. Experience with simulation tools development and utilization. Knowledge of the EGNOS System, design and qualification.
