A vacancy has arisen for an Hosted Services Engineering Manager with Airbus Defence and Space. This role is to be based in Farnborough Guildford Newport facilities. This position is required for the operation of UK Hosting Infrastructure and the Application platform. You will provide support for full Service Management, processed and policies. You will be responsible for the monitoring, support and evolution of the network and security services. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Responsible with Hosting management team for the Overall design and implementation of the hosting services within the business as well as the environment in which they reside including connectivity, security, specification, design, implementation, integration and delivery Act as technical expert for hosting projects and sharing knowledge appropriately Responsible for the identification of technical business risks within the Business and the appropriate management of thesedevelopment of risk reduction strategies Deliver technical content to proposals, bids and quotes To continually review the systems and hardware utilised by the business, identifying interdependencies that will exist within existing and proposed systems to ensure interoperability, promoting reusable core hardware software components Full understanding of Network Security and Disaster Recovery Systems, experience of the geospatial domain, applications, virtualized environments including database, web and cloud technology Develop, prepare and deliver Customer presentations workshops to demonstrate the Companys Technical Competence at both presales and project stages Experience of working in a technical support environment, preferably ITIL compliant Accountability for hosting systems, working closely with the Geospatial Solutions Architect and Infrastructure Manager for total solution definition and to ensure that the required technologies will work together Ensuring physical security of the site and operational facilities are maintained in accordance with company policiesrequirements Ability to provide out of hours technical support. The successful candidate will have skills and experience in some of the following this list is not exhaustive Linux and or Unix command line tools Principles of Information Security and assurance Experience of working in a technical support environment, preferably ITIL compliant Cisco ASA firewalls Cisco Switches and Routers Intrusion Detection Systems Protective Monitoring Solutions San Storage technology Implementation of largescale, resilient storage including clustered file systems Virtualisation technologies, in particular VMWare Network resilience Server and OS security hardening for Windows andor Linux server and desktops Disaster Recovery measures including demonstration of readiness. Good track record of customer liaison A proven ability to communicate effectively to staff and management including the ability to deliver technical presentations to internal and external audiences Selfmotivating and be able to work as part of a team as well as working in an independent discipline. Familiar with Geospatial standards OGC, WMS, WFS, etc., Web technologies, Development Tools Open Source or COTS, Database technology Oracle, Postgres, etc.. The GNSS Exploitation Service Engineering Manager is integrated within the GNSS Exploitation Program team. He reports to the GNSS Exploitation Program Manager.
