With paraxylene prices falling, however, PTA and therefore polyester fiber producers could lower their offers in the coming period. Viscose prices have stopped falling in China, in line with the stabilization of cotton and polyester markets. VSF exporters have taken advantage of a continuous drop in prices which has boosted sales to foreign nations in the past months, as reflected by June data. Our weekly report covers the viscose/rayon staple fiber and filament markets over the last 12 months. Viscose spun yarn prices in China, India, and Pakistan are also available. Cotton linter, cotton pulp and wood pulp prices on domestic and import markets are being tracked over the last 12 months.

Polyester prices could bottom out in China, after production levels have been significantly reduced in the last weeks, in line with a sharp fall of staple fiber and filament prices. PSF prices have continued sharply dropping in the last days in China, however, while also tumbling in Pakistan.
