Polyester prices could bottom out in China, after production levels have been significantly reduced in the last weeks, in line with a sharp fall of staple fiber and filament prices. PSF prices have continued sharply dropping in the last days in China, however, while also tumbling in Pakistan. PTA and PSF prices have sharply declined in the last seven days in the Far East, therefore erasing a previous rebound of polyester chain prices at the end of June. Demand remains subdued from downward fiber processors, but it could recover in August, over seasonal trends.
