Fiber Optic Detectors use adapter for configuration changes.

2013-02-01 14:32:10| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today

Supplied with FC/PC adapter, or optional FC/APC and SMA connectors, universal 918D-IS Series uses 1 in. symmetrical integrating sphere to ensure most accurate calibration possible, regardless of fiber type measured. Dual detector design includes special optics to optimize temperature sensitivity while operating from 400–1,650 nm. Model 918D-IS-IG has single InGaAs detector that operates from 800–1650 nm, while Model 918-IS-SL uses single Si detector for operation in 400–1,100 nm wavelength range. Uses of Carbon Fiber

2013-01-31 20:12:04| About Composites / Plastics

Carbon fiber is being readily adopted by many different industries. Often, this is because of the distinct look of the weave. Carbon fiber has unique optics, and when light hits an individual fiber, it reflects in a certain way. In the most common fabric weave, 3k plain or twill weave, there are 3,000 individual carbon fiber filaments in each woven strand. When put in a clear composite with a nice clear coat, man does it look good...
