Terma Space operates out of Denmark, The Netherlands, Germany, and the UK. Job description For one of our customers located in Bremen we are looking for a specialist in IT Security. Responsibilities Typical activities to be undertaken are Local Engineering Support Center ESC Certificate administration Support to Security Risk Management Maintenance and administration support to Project Security Devices Incident DetectionHandlingPrevention Collaboration with Product maintenance Teams Ground and Flight Products Support to IOT Security Management EndPoint Security Measures Security Incident and Event Management SIEM Intrusion Detection System IDSIPSDPI Handling SW vulnerabilities for operational systems Note that the above list is nonexhaustive, but it serves to show the main range of tasks that will constitute the service to be provided. Further tasks will be assigned as needs arise. This is a fulltime position with the planned start January 2018. You will be nominally based in Bremen, Germany, but shall be in a position to travel within Europe. Qualifications Competencies Applicants shall have a university degree, in the domain of IT, engineering, or other suitable qualification and at least 3 years experience within a similar IT security role. Additionally you should have Good knowledge within the area of security risk management including support to security OSapplications and audits Good communication skills verbal and written and teamworking ability Experience in inspection of Logfiles, definition development of intelligent LOGFiles analysis mechanism Experience with specific access control policies and different available solutions Experience with Intrusion Detection System IDSIPSDPI with focus on studying and implementing a system able to monitor incoming network traffic Experience with Handling SW vulnerabilities for operational systems Skilled in using the Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel and Outlook Excellent verbal and written communication in English You shall be able to fulfil the assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision, have a systematic approach to work, be able to plan your work and cope with tight schedules and multiple tasks. You shall have the capability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation. Good communication skills verbal and written are important. You shall be willing to work in a team of engineers and in cooperation with industry and partner agencies. Skills and Experience A Master or Bachelor degree in IT or Information Security or equivalent experience in the domain of cyber security. You are a quick learner and open to acquire new skills through working a dynamic environment in a startup fashion. You have at least five years of experience in working with network and security technologies such as next generation firewalls, malware prevention, cloud access brokerage or content filtering. This implies a good understanding of network protocols TCPIP and common network architectures and concepts. You are also familiar with shell scripting python, bash, powershell and operation systems such as Red Hat and Windows. Preferably you have some experience security monitoring technologies, such as SIEM and analytics, as well as SOC operations. You understand the anatomy of a cyber attack and are able to propose solutions to detect, prevent and mitigate for each stage of the attack. You will have the opportunity to manage and be involved in the EUFOSSA project, which is focused on establishing a process to assess the security level of free and open source software used by the European institutions. This position is based in Brussels, Belgium. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Project management activities following the Commissions internal project management methodology PM2 including requirements analysis, project planning, project follow up, subcontractor management, stakeholder management, deliverable tracking and risk analysis. Contribution and expertise sharing towards definition of detailed actions to pursue within the project to best meet the business requirements. Drafting highlevel project documentation in English, including regular project progress reports. Organisation of projectrelated activities including, but not limited to, preparation and chairing of project meetings, aiding in preparation of conferences, presentations, dissemination materials and applying a common look and feel to information arriving from different sources. Application of an internal project management methodology PM2 to execution of projects in particular related to cybersecurity domain. Customisation of the methodology to fit the needs of the projects. Mentoring of outsourced teams regarding the methodology adoption. Proposal of customisable adoption plans for different teams and needs. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a Master Degree in IT, Computer Science or related subject You have proven proficiency in English spoken, written. Basic knowledge of French is an advantage. You have a proven and extensive experience in project management of highprofile projects, including but not limited to the software development domain, with at least three having budgets exceeding EUR 500,000. You have a proven specific expertise in the software security domain, in particular deep understanding of the practical issues related to software security auditing, security governance and secure coding practices You are expert in modern software and hardware architectures and technologies, necessary for understanding and being able to describe, at different levels of abstraction, software vulnerabilities found within the EUFOSSA 2 and beyond and to assess the countermeasures proposed. You have sound experience in projects that have applied successfully wellestablished software engineering methodologies. Rapid selfstarting capability and experience in team working. You have drafting skills. You have excellent communication skills, presentation preparation skills and able to present in front of large varied audiences. You are customer and results oriented. You are a good planner and able to follow more than one subject at a time. You are proactive, communicative i.e. good listener and customer oriented. You have excellent knowledge of methodology standards RUP, CMMI, COBIT, PMI, ITIL, Agile. You have sound experience in establishment of contracting guidelines for projects implemented by external parties. You have experience in working with Open Source Software projects and developers, contributions to existing projects will be considered a major advantage.
