Job Description For one of our clients we are looking for a System Test Engineer for their location in Bavaria, Germany. Tasks and Responsibilities Perform tests and qualification of the latest software release of various avionic systems. This includes Perform testing of top notch avionics systems and their embedded software Assess the suitability of RealFlight Simulators Writing test procedures and associated documentation Setup test benches for civilian and military helicopters Delivering Test Reports to the Customer. Requirements You have completed a degree in Engineering, preferably avionics, electrical engineering or systems engineering You have already performed tests and you know some test tools and test methods You have experience in system integration and are keen to dive into complex systems You are familiar with DOORS software You have basic programming skills with languages like C, C or MATLAB Ideally, you are familiar with Linux and have already worked with it You can demonstrate fluency in business or technical English. For our customer, EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany, we are seeking for a System Engineering and Validation Support Engineer who will support the validation testing of the WEkEO The Data and Information Access Services DIAS system. Considering the wellstructured user communities and the strong relationship existing between EUMETSAT operator and data provider for Jason3, Sentinel3, Sentinel4, Sentinel5, Jason CSSentinel6, MercatorOcan Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service and ECMWF Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service, Copernicus Climate Change Service, the three organisations decided to join their efforts and implement one instance of a DIAS in partnership. This instance, hereafter referred as WEkEO DIAS, differs from other DIAS instances in a few aspects It capitalises on the existing experience and knowledge of the three organisations Its technical design is based on a federative approach integrating one Copernicus Data Provider and 3 Copernicus Services The duties will range from the preparationvalidation of the test plans of the services offered, to the support to the validation readiness review meetings Service support in System Engineering and consistencycompliance Design reviews Requirement traceability Services support to the all WEkEO partners Validation activities Generation of validation test plans Preparation and definition of test procedures Setup and execution of the test according to the test plans and test procedures Generation of test reports Support to the test readiness review and test review board preparation Service support to the defining of WEkEO evolution requirements and engineering changes based on user feedback Conduction of user feedback activities Defining evolution of engineering changes based on user feedback. Qualifications Competencies The following skills are considered mandatory Experience with operational 247 production and the related issues, constraints and best practices Experience on requirement traceability Experience with the implementation and test of facilities and services that are governed by a strict change control process in an operational environment Experience in the creation of suitable cases, test documentation and their execution Formalized software testing functional, regression, component Formalized facility testing functional, regression, component ,integration Formalized system level testing including requirements verification Experience in verification methodology and requirements management Experience with load and benchmark testing Experience in using XML technologies for data format representation and interface documentation Experience with scripting languages in a UNIXLINUX environment Experience on cloud computing Knowledge of industry standards for interoperability OGC, Inspire Network lifecycle verification upgrade testing Network security verification test Very good command of written English and to communicate efficiently in this language. Description of the job We are looking for several Digital Processor System Engineers to join the Communication Processors Group based in Stevenage. The Processor Systems team is at the forefront of the development of digital signal processing payloads for telecommunications satellites, with work undertaken for a range of UK and international customers on a variety of exciting space projects. The responsibility of the group covers research and development of new digital processor products, manufacture and test of flight electronic equipment through to inorbit operational support. Our products form the heart of modern telecommunications satellite payloads, handling many thousands of channels and required to operate continuously and reliably, for many years, in the harsh environment of space. The main focus of the work undertaken by the team is the development of advanced communications and scientific satellite payloads employing state of the art digital processing techniques. Currently we are developing our 5th processor generation using new technologies to boost our capability at least tenfold. To achieve this we work closely with hardware engineers, ASIC FPGA designers, systems engineers and test engineers. Tasks accountabilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to get involved in all phases from early concept through to delivering hardware and providing operational support. Key activities will include Concept feasibility and generation of new ideas. Development of digital processor architectural design and specification, flowing down from customer requirements. Digital signal processing algorithm design, simulation and analysis. Laboratory prototyping and testing of new processor designs. Required skills Essential attributes At minimum, a 21 degree or equivalent qualification in Physics, Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related subject. Desirable attributes Strong software skills, e.g. C, C are highly desirable. Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing algorithm design and simulation, e.g. using MATLAB. An awareness of FPGA design..
