Since 2008, Astrium Satellites has been examining stratospheric pseudosatellite systems. These activities have led to a partnership with DLR within which a first prototype called ELHASPA has been developed that has flown for the first time in November 2011. In parallel, first contacts with potential external industrial partners have been established, and an EADS nursery project has been put in place. This project is jointly funded by EADS CTO, Astrium and Cassidian. The job holder will be part of the EADS HAPS Team. His primary task is to support the preparation and execution of flight trials.
