Flight Dynamics Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following responsibilities Trajectory Optimisation focusing on the threebody problem especially in the SunEarth and the EarthMoon three body system Navigation and Guidance for Mission Analysis Concurrent Design Studies for space missions Mission Analysis Tolls Development, environmental models, numerical integration techniques, local and global optimisation techniques and algorithms Mission Analysis for human spaceflight beyond the Earth orbit Activity status via monthly reports or adhoc when requested Updateproduction of specific deliverable documentation e.g. Technical Notes, software documentation, design documentation, interface definitions. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant Engineering field, Astronomy, Mathematics or Physics Knowledge to develop solutions to technical problems in cooperation with customers and other experts Ability to define, implement, validate and operate software e.g. Unix andor Linux scripting languages, Fortran 77 andor 95, C Experience in Trajectory Optimisation focusing on the threebodyproblem especially in the SunEarth and the EarthMoon threebodysystems Experience in Navigation and Guidance techniques for Mission Analysis activities Experience with Concurrent Design Studies for space missions Experience in Mission Analysis Tolls Development, environmental models, numerical integration techniques, local and global optimisation techniques and algorithms Knowledge about operational and ground segment aspect in the missionarchitecture design Knowledge about the special requirements of human spaceflight beyond the Earth Orbit Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. The primary areas of responsibility for this position is Mission Analysis, but the key person may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional service, missions and activities within the scope of general Flight Dynamics operations engineering services. The key person will be primarily assigned to a particular service but with the possibility of supporting other service andor missions. Services to be provided are primarily related to HERACLES. Ability to work independently Desirable Requirements Familiarity with the ESOC environment Familiarityexperience with Flight Dynamics operations engineering tasks Experience dealing with external interfaces Experience with OracleSolaris andor Linux, network services and protocols, and system administration The ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if applicable multiple missions simultaneously.
