Summary A part time opportunity for an experienced Engineer with Configuration Management experience to work for Telespazio VEGA onsite at ESAC. Objective To develop and maintain CM including documentation management plan applicable to the specific missionproject. Responsibilities Duties Duties will include but will not be limited to Service specific tasks in support to the Instrument PI expert contracts Overall tracking of 10 contracts with PI Teams from an administrative point of view. Maintain the CONFLUENCE pages concerning Instrument contracts constantly up to date, taking into account the outcomes of the Progress Meeting and the mail communication with Team i.e. actions closed, deliverables received, deliverables reviewed, etc Inspect progress reports and assessconfirm progress notify the Development Manager DM in case of problems Upload progress reports to Business Intelligence Reporting Framework BIRF General maintenance of the BIRF setupinformation Report periodically to DM about overall status attend weekly meetings Day to day communication with the Teams on administrative matters, e.g. resolve doubtsquestions, trackclarify missinglate payment if any, etc. Track closure of actions related to contracts both on Science Ground Segment SGS and on the Teams and send reminders as appropriate maintain status in JIRA, as appropriate. Coordinate internal review of deliverables and make sure all reviewers are contributing as expected and timely Assemble comments on deliverables e.g. from Reviewers and provide them to the teams Coordinate provision of the Customer Furnished Inputs CFIs and make sure that all inputs are provided to the Teams in Livelink in due time Carry out configuration management of all contractual documentation in Livelink Organize progress meetings with Instrument Teams send reminder, book meeting rooms, arrange webextelecom as required prepare Minute template to be used as basis for meeting conduct Attend progress meeting and review the minutes prepared by the Instrument Teams, making sure that all actionsagreements have been properly captured Interface with Contract Officer, as required Interface with Project Controllers and Finance, as required Service specific tasks in support to PAQC CMEngineers and Librarian Support the CM PAQC Engineers in the tracking of SGS actions crosscheck status with actions track, update and maintain the status in JIRA. Report to DM, as required Take care ofimplement the documentation approval cycle e.g. signature gathering Prepare the Baseline documentation folder in preparation for SGS reviews Followup post review RID closeout through documentation update e.g. iterate with RID authors for approval of RID implementation and documentation changes Service specific tasks in support to the Development Manager Support the Development Manager in the preparation and organisation of SGS Progress Meetings Support the DM in preparing and maintaining the SGS Schedule Track report on achievement of schedule milestones Support the DM in the maintenance of the SGS manpower Plan Support the DM and Project Controller SCIM in the maintenance of the SGS CaC Coordinate the team work planning planning meeting, recording of WP spend, reporting Track the WP spend and monitor and report any deviation to the plan Interact freely with any member of the following institutions involved in BepiColombo SGS development operations work. Qualifications Experience Qualities PhD or MSc or equivalent in a scientific or technical subject Relevant professional experience of several years in Project Support activities, Contract management, Configuration management, Organisation of meetings, IT web based technologies and WINDOWS MAC systems, Elaboration of management and technical documentation Good knowledge of project management standards and concepts Good knowledge of standard configuration control methods and practices Good knowledge of configuration control tools e.g. JIRA Good familiarity with ESA Standards, Frameworks and Tools Possess excellent communications skills. Be able to document their work. Feel comfortable in an international working environment and be fluent in English a high level of written and spoken English is essential. Ideal candidate Requirements You should bring a Master degree in a relevant discipline, at least 4 years of experimental physics, optics or optical engineering experience and the following Several years of project and or industrial experience in the design, engineering and testing and verification of various types of optical instrumentation Solid experience in precision optical measurements at system, subassembly and component level Good technical judgement, analytical and excellent verbal and written communication skills, in the English language Experience in space project work, and of operations in a cleanroom environment Knowledge and or experience in the use and application of the ISO 9000 series or ISO 17025 standards for quality management of test laboratories Selfreliant by nature and will and able to work responsibly in an unsupervised or minimally supervised environment.
