Position Reference 043 You will have the opportunity to support preparation and followup activities for Galileo services provision and the consolidation of the operational processes. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Galileo operations and service provision concept Contribute to the elaboration of the Galileo Operations Concept, including the use of the Galileo Control Centres GCC Technical followup of operation processes Support transition from current Galileo FOC operations to new service operator migration scenarios analysis, operations transition plans Support the followup of the current Galileo operations contract between ESA and the incumbent operator and assess changes impact on GSOp baseline Galileo service preparation and provision Review KPIs definition versus liability and performance monitoring capability, including the definition of tools and review the approach to validation Define the approach to operational validation of major releases Support Timing Service and Geodetic Reference Service validation Update, elaborate and review asset management strategy and utilisation plan contribute GSA internal processes related to asset management definition Ground Operations Contribute to the Galileo GCC Operations Concept document Ensure consistency of technical and operations requirements baseline during ground segment evolution process specify and verify elements functions following changes, troubleshooting and validation activities Define and analyse the relevant KPIs, Analyse the operations changes baseline configuration changes or deviations, operation processes evolutions and services provision transitions Initial Services preparation support Followup consolidation of processes and operational interfaces between the EC, ESA, GSA, CNES and other parties as required Update of documentation of processes, procedures and interfaces in the Galileo operations documentation Followup in the initial phase the initial services implementation and validation activities, analysing the related key performance indicators KPIs Followup of the initial services operations phase. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have University degree in an Engineering discipline. You have at least 5 years of experience within Galileo Operation activities You have knowledge and understanding of the Galileo Operations and service provisions You have knowledge of Galileo Ground Operations. AT&T sees flat mobile service revenue in Q2, Mexico operations hurt by stronger dollar

(Telecompaper) AT&T has reiterated a target to return its mobile business to service revenue growth over the full year 2018. However, the company warned for continued weakness in the pay-TV market and said its international operations are suffering from the stronger dollar. The updated outlook was given by AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson and CFO John Stephens at an investors conference held by WellsFargo.

GALILEO Spacecraft Operations System Engineering Service

Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT and CNES. The primary areas of responsibility for this position consists in spacecraft operations engineering activities and monitoring of all operations activities executed by the Galileo Operator, including the different phases of operations preparation, validation and execution. This is a job for an Engineer preferred with a degree in the area of Electronic, Aerospace or Telecommunications Engineering. The position is based directly on customer site in ESTEC in the Netherlands. It is a fulltime position requiring frequent travel within Europe twice per month and the ability to obtain European security clearance. Deadline for submission is 29th of October. Start of the position can be earliest December 2017. ResponsibilitiesDuties The general activities to be supported in this position will be Support Space Segment SSEG engineering activities to ensure operability, in particular compliance of space segment products with operations requirements, including new OnBoard SW versions, user manuals, flight procedures, etc. Production of segment operability requirements for new sc or new sw releases, also based on lessons learned and inflight anomalies, operational improvements, as provided by the European GNSS Agency GSA and its Galileo Service Operator GSOp. Technical coordination of FOC Satellite manufacturer activity in support to corrective maintenance i.e. generation of OBSW upgrades Technical coordination of the ESA involvement in the Operations anomalies handling, nonconformance handling and technical configuration control boards processes in liaison with the GSA and its Operator, Support the GSA in the evaluation and execution of all operations activities executed by the Galileo Operator, ensuring the preparation, validation and execution of operations and plans Followup of special operations, with particular attention but not limited to anomaly resolution cases, including evaluation and reporting of proper execution of spacecraft and mission operations. Supervision of technical coordination between inorbit space segment maintenance activities performed by ESA SSEG and operational validation of maintenance products performed by GSOp including OBSW patches or new SW versions General Flight Control Support Service including participation to System Compatibility Test Campaigns and Spacecraft Performance Analysis as required Contribute to the definition of the System Level Operational concepts and requirements for the next generation of Galileo Satellites along with the interfaces with the ground infrastructure and associated External Interfaces for the different project phases. Participation to Galileo related review panels, evaluation boards, as required. QualificationsExperience University degree or equivalent education in Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering. Essential Skills Significant Experience in operations preparation and execution including LEOP Commissioning In Orbit Testing and Routine phases Significant experience in Spacecraft subsystem AOCS Data Handling OBSM and operations engineering Significant experience in system operations engineering to ensure spacecraft operability in particular the compliance of space segment products with operations requirements in the area of new Onboard SW developments, related user manuals and flight operations procedures.
