A vacancy for a Project Manager for Electronic Equipment mf has arisen within the Airbus Defence and Space in Elancourt. Your main mission as project manager will be From request for proposal until the final equipment deliveries, being responsible for the projects performances cost control and Gross margin achievement, technical compliance, schedule compliance and customer satisfaction Being in charge of the daytoday relationship with your customers and being the operational manager for the project teams. This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities. Your main responsibilities will be Managing proposals to customers, with the objective of defining the optimal scenario Negotiating the specification with customers, with the objective of reaching the best compromise business with gross margins Supporting the contract negotiation, together with the contracts and sales manager Defining your projects development plans with associated risks analysis Operationally managing the multidisciplinary project team core team in order to guarantee the satisfactory development, manufacturing and testing of the products Ensuring the reporting, both internally and to the customers Securing the financial objectives Ensuring that the contractual commitments are followed, as well as applying the product assurance plan Supporting the development of the Astrium product Developing your relationship with key account managers in charge of the geographical area Supporting the definition and development of the Airbus DS Electronics product roadmap in order to consider exporting aspects for new developments We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Educated to a Masters degree level in Electronics, At least 5 yearsof successful project management on electronic equipment and standard project manager tools schedules, cost control, risk analysis, etc., Successful experience in other countries, or project management with international customers is a plus Good ability to summarise and with a large range of technical knowledge digital, analogue and power electronics, radiation, thermal and mechanics Ability for commercial negotiation Negotiation level of English and knowledge of cultural dimensions for negotiation Behavioural Competencies and expectations As the project manager, you need to be flexible and able to use your Astrium knowledge and the product portfolio to identify and detect opportunities from the customers expectations and large opportunities coming in You will have an overview of your products development strategy You will develop customer intimacy You will manage your projects with the right level of autonomy, and maintain efficient reporting You will create a positive and successful team spirit You will be highly involved and able to adapt your activities during the activitys peak, usually during the request for proposal phases.
