The successful candidate will join the Future Programmes and Proposals department and will steer affairs and preproject studies of scientific spatial systems phases 0, phases A, internal RD, phase A study proposals andor BCD preparation. This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities.Your main task and responsibilities will include For technical activities, based on customer requirement specifications ESA or CNES Analysing, discussing and assimilating technical requirements Preparing a preliminary product definition and demonstrating that it fulfil in an optimal way customer requirements Preparing the preliminary development plan for the product pricing estimation Concerning Management activities Interfacing with the customer internally and externally, following up costs and planning the study Organising and animating the study team internally and subcontractors, if necessary Participating in and supporting technical and industrial strategy reflections steered by managementThis position will require occasional travel for business once a month in Europe, and, as such, you must be able to travel accordingly.As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and experience Engineering degree or equivalent 5 years of experience in the space field as a system engineer or as an architect within a project in development Ideally, good knowledge of scientific missions and physics and instruments Ability to apprehend all the technical disciplines related to a space system and to rapidly understand the problem in order to know how to best use the skills of specialists and to appreciate the magnitude of the proper order Creativity and conceptualisation in the creation of technical solutions Good synthesis skills Ability to communicate with the customer and gain his trust Responsive and adaptable approach Independent and meticulous way of working, Team spirit Negotiation level of English and advanced level of French.Please apply online.
