Mechanical Design Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Mechanical Design Development, you will have the following responsibilities Mechanical configuration of satellites, payloads and mechanisms Development of mechanical designs for satellites and instrument structures Development of lightweight structure designs in particular highly stable structures employing new design concepts and materials such as fibrereinforced composites and ceramics Development and documentation of mechanical designs under consideration of functional, material and manufacturing requirements and constraints Support installation and integration studies on satellite and subsystem levels Generation of product definition drawings and documentation for bids and projects Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in Aerospace, Mechanical engineering or similar Consistent extensive work experience in the space industry Extensive experience in the use of Catia V5 Ability to work well in teams and to relate instructions to others in a supportive manner Ability to work well in teams and to relate instructions to others in a supportive manner Willingness to travel occasionally to Ottobrunn Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of the German language is an advantage.
