A small area of low pressure is located about 250 miles southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands. Shower and thunderstorm activity from earlier in the day that was associated with a circulation in the middle levels of the atmosphere has mostly dissipated, however there is still some disorganized shower activity located near the surface circulation center.
