Sales Engineering, Global Government USA United States Washington, District of Columbia Your Job As part of the Segment Sales Engineering team, the Government Sales Engineer will work directly with the Government Sales Engineering Manager and associated team members to develop technical and product led solutions for the Government market vertical. The Government Sales Engineer will support the development of the market segment by working closely with the respective commercial, market and product development leads to identify and meet customermarket needs. The Sales Engineer will also work closely with the SES Networks Product Design Engineering group to deliver the required solutions. Close cooperation with numerous SES Network groups will be required to ensure solutions are innovative, differentiated and operationally efficient. The Sales Engineer is the primary technical point of contact for our government Distribution Partners DP and enduser customers within the Government business sector and technical liaison to sales engineering and service delivery teams. The Sales Engineer is an integral member of the Government business development and account management teams providing support in all aspects of defining, developing and implementing solutions for distribution partners and enduser. Provides support for the design and engineering development of SES Networks Government product concepts as required, ensuring a consist approach to ease internal operation and efficient development practices, reusing capabilities where possible Provide Government technicalcommercial and market input across SES Networks. Consolidate consumer requirements, and tailor full E2E solutions where required Comprehension of satellite technologies, ground equipment, antennas, licensing, testing, certification, military standardsspecifications, governing bodies and encrypted communication systems Ability to investigate new technologies to enhance user experience. Weve had significant involvement in over 210 space missions and operate at the forefront of UK Space Research. RAL Space is leading the technical development of the payload for the ARIEL space mission, a major ESA Mclass science mission M4 for launch in 2028 to study the atmospheres of exoplanets. It is the first mission dedicated to measuring the chemical composition and thermal structures of hundreds of transiting exoplanets, enabling planetary science far beyond the boundaries of the Solar System. We are seeking an outstanding technical leader to join the team as the systems engineering lead engineering manager for the payload consortium consisting of teams in institutes and industries in 15 countries. You will work with the engineering teams at RAL, throughout the UK and in partner organisations around Europe to define, design, develop, build and test the payload consisting of a 1mclass space telescope, photometer and infrared spectrometer instruments and associated electronic and cryogenic systems.
