To reinforce our team at our office in Darmstadt, we are looking for a candidate to fill the post of the XMMIntegral Spacecraft Operations Engineering Services mf Ref R0901422 Your task The candidate will provide Spacecraft Operations Engineering service for astronomy and fundamental physics missions operated by ESOC. The service will be delivered to XMMNewton and INTEGRAL missions primarily, but with the possibility of supporting other missions within the Astronomy and Fundamental Physics Missions Division at a later stage of the service provision. The primary areas of responsibility for this service are to support the Spacecraft Operations Managers in the development of operations procedures for onboard thermal control of platform and instruments, deorbiting, mission control system and simulator migration and automation activities. The Candidate is required to familiarise himself with the missions he is supporting and in particular with the procedures, ground segment and its tools that are needed to perform the mission operations. Your profile University degree or equivalent education in Electric or Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and operations i. e. OBDH, PowerThermal, propulsion system, instruments Knowledge of SCOS Mission Control System The service provider key personnel will work in the role of Spacecraft Operations Engineer SOE on the XMMIntegral Missions and as such is required to have the basic qualifications for a SOE position Previous spacecraft operations experience is highly desirable Experience in the following areas is desirable o ODBHOBSM o Procedure writing o Operational simulators and with operational databases o Mission planning Good communication skills and proven ability to work within a team are mandatory A good knowledge of the English language is mandatory We offer Demanding and interesting projects in an international environment Integration to a team of highly motivated professionals High degree of flexibility and possibilities to develop your career Are you interested in the position offered?
