Midwest Engineering Systems Becomes RIA Certified Robot Integrator

As announced by RIA, Midwest Engineering Systems received Certified Robot Integrator designation. Certification process requires on-site audit and testing of key personnel as well as other criteria. Jeff Burnstein, RIA president, welcomed Midwest Engineering Systems as RIA's sixteenth Certified Robot Integrator and said that this program "strengthens the overall integrator channel and allows integrators to benchmark their own processes against best industry practices." Engineering Support to Earth Observation Mission

A Spanish leader company in Aerospace Engineering and Scientific services with more than 45 years of experience working for NASA and 35 years working for ESA seeks a candidate for a postion of Engineering Support to Earth Observation Mission located at ESTEC Netherlands. Specific Tasks S5P is a Earth Observation Mission within the GMES Programme where the Payload Data Ground Segment PDGS is developed by DLR, under direct Project responsibility while the FOS is under ESOC responsibility. The Contractor will support definition, implementation and validation of the Ground Segment in collaboration with the S5P Project team, ESOC and DLR. Furthermore heshe shall support the preparation of the Spacecraft Inorbit Operations up to and including the Commissioning Phase Review. Hisher duties will include Support to the refinement of the Ground Segment Concept within the project team and in collaboration with teams in ESOC and DLR. Refinement and maintenance of the requirements for specific aspects of the Flight Operations Segment and Payload Data Ground Segment. Contribution to the definition of the Spacecraft to Ground Segment Interfaces and monitoring in collaboration with the Spacecraft and AIT manager proper implementation and verification of those Interfaces. Coordination of deliveries of the Level 1B and Level 2 processors to the PDGS developers and follow up corresponding integration and validation tasks. Monitoring of the implementation of the FOS and PDGS, ensuring compatibility between the Spacecraft and the Ground Segment Elements. Support Project Reviews at Satellite, GS and System levels. Preparation of prelaunch ground system validation activities, including generation of test plans and test data in collaboration with the S5P Ground Segment Manager and the Spacecraft and AIT manager. Coordination of daytoday prelaunch validation activities, organize test reviews and generation of reports. Participation in preparation and execution of the inorbit system validation and verification tasks, under the responsibility of the S5P Commissioning Phase Manager. Other tasks priority is nominated Project, other support to be agreed with that Project Manager Participate to EOP ground segment reviews on other projects. Requirements University degree in Engineering or Physics. Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team within the boundaries of assigned tasks and a stringent schedule. Experience relevant to the task description.
