We are currently looking for a MTG Monitoring Control Subsystem Engineer Start date September 15th, 2016 Location EUMESAT, Darmstadt, Germany Key tasks and responsibilities The tasks of the candidate will typically include Support to the maintenance of MTG Mission Operations Facility requirement specification in the area of Monitoring Control System and liaison with the operational users for the definition of the requirements baseline. Follow up the MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem MCS procurement to make sure that the delivery fits the intended purpose. Support the MTG ground segment team, the Mission Operations Facility manager and the ground segment manager. Interact with suppliers and partner organizations. Participation to the Reviews for the Monitoring and Control Subsystem and interfacing facilities. Participation test conduction and or witnessing to MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem facilities testing and related activities on facility as well as on system level. Analysis of test results and test reports on facility as well as on system level in particular with respect to their suitability for requirement verification and validation. Track the MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem test results, test reports and requirement verification status. Installation of the MTG Monitoring and Control Subsystem at EUMETSAT, while fulfilling the configuration management requirements. Verification of correct facility installation. Monitor and, where applicable, steer the lifecycle for all related anomaly reports ARs nonconformance reports NCRs. Preparation and production of routine reports as necessary. Preparation of technical notes and attendance at technical meetings. Analysis, review and generation of any relevant MTG documentation. Maintenance i.e. mainly configuration and installation of the SCOS 2000 MCS demonstrator installed for familiarization of the operations preparation team with the Mission Operations Facility MCS. Required skills The candidate shall have a goal oriented attitude with a good level of communication skills enabling working in a highly flexible integrated team. Furthermore, the candidate shall have, as a prerequisite a demonstrated experience of five years in the following Mission Control Subsystem specifications development and or procurement within a space system. In depth knowledge of MICONYS SCOS 2000, FARC, PARC, etc. based Monitoring and Control Subsystems. The ECSS Packet Utilization PUS and CCSDS SLE Standard TM TC Database design, implementation and testing based on DABYS, mysql MariaDB. SCOS 2000 based onboard software function. AIV related activities test procedure generation, requirements verification and validation. Anomaly reports ARs nonconformance reports NCRs handling, investigation and discussion with clients as well as the supplier. Eclipse RCP RAP. Java, C and C. GIT Version Control software. UNIX operating system usage. It would be a distinct advantage for the candidate to have experience with some of the following ECSS Space Engineering Standards, in particular those related to Mission Control. IBM DOORS. Operations Preparation. Automation i.e. procedures activation and execution. Spacecraft Simulator based on SIMSAT. Ground segment monitoring control.
