Summary An exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Assurance professional to join the Telespazio UK team, working on site at ESTEC, to support quality reviews for both internal and external projects. Objective To provide product assurance support to various missions and sections across ESTEC. Responsibilities Duties The successful candidate will be expected to Support the ESAs Project Product Assurance Safety PAS Manager in all activities related to the execution of the Product Assurance Programme Participate in manufacturing, integration and test activities, e.g. manufacturing readiness reviews MRR, mandatory inspection points MIPs, test readiness reviews TRRs, test review boards TRBs Support the Risk Management and Configuration Management processes within the ESA Project Team, including the disposition of Request for Deviations and Request for Waivers RFDs RFWs Support the PAS Manager to ensure the effective implementation and execution of the nonconformance identification and reporting mechanisms within the contractor supply chain and confirm the correct and formal closure of nonconformances Assist the PAS Manager in ensuring that all formally delivered items within the Project supply chain conform with requirements using formal acceptance reviews Delivery Review Boards DRBs Produce reports on project and review activities, including conclusions and recommendations where necessary, participate in progress meetings, when needed and reporting on project PA status. Supporting the ESA internal and external Alert processes and systems coordination Reporting on the associated KPIs status and Objectives achievement Supporting the suppliers evaluation process , this may include support to audits planning, organisation and execution Support the operations and improvements of the internal Quality Management Systems Duties may also include supporting other activities within the post, relevant to the experience of the candidate. Qualifications Experience University Masters degree or equivalent in engineering ideally related to space. Essential Skills Experience in Product and Quality Assurance Auditing training and experience Ability to work independently and establish good working relations with relevant actors in ESA and Industry Knowledge of ESA and its programmes and projects Broad knowledge of current developments in the space industry Experience with Risk Management methodology Qualities Proactive attitude to solving problems Good English language skills Good organisational and communication skills Able to work independently and in international teams

The activities to be carried out consist in the inspection of electronic boards and equipment forApplications of Avionics radar and flight computer and Space according to the required standards, and of carry out checks on the conformity of production documentation. The candidate must have experience in the execution and inspection of special processes on electronic boards. He will be responsible for rigorously verifying, through visual inspection and analysis of the production documentation work cycles, parts lists, drawings, correct execution of the assembly and welding activities of the equipment. Among the tasks to be performed there is that of drawing up the NonConformity reports will have to work on close contact with colleagues in Manufacturing and Quality Assurance. The person we are looking for is in possession of the High School Diploma or Professional School. Experience Level Required Expert profile at least with IPC certification Senior Profile with IPC ECSS certification Technical skills Knowledge of special processes and technologies characteristic of electronic boards welding, gluing, crimping. Ability to read the technical documentation for the execution of the assemblies drawings, instructions and procedure. Ability to compile inspection reports, NCR, etc. typical of the inspection activity of Quality. The jobholder will mainly provide the management of Galileo Security Monitoring Centre GSMC with a technical authority, independent from the operational teams providing the services, verifying that the missions of the centre are properly performed. The jobholder will ensure the maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality referential ISO 90012015 at GSMC level, and the compliance of the processes run at the GSMC with the corporate policies established with the Agencys department responsible for Project Control PC and their consistency with the other operational departments processes e.g. Galileo and EGNOS Services. The jobholder will become a member of the Agencys Product Assurance and Configuration Management team within the Project Control Department located in the Headquarter in Prague. The Product Assurance and Quality Officer will be situated in the GSMC, in SaintGermainenLaye and will work under the functional coordination of the GSMC.
