Using lattice matched native Aluminum Nitride substrates, Optan SMD UVC LEDs deliver high light output at wavelengths from 250–280 nm. Units offer alternatives to deuterium lamps and laser light sources used in analytical and life science instruments. Typical applications include fluorescence spectroscopy, flow cytometry, and biofouling control. LEDs can also be used as light source for catalyzing persulfate oxidation in total organic carbon measurement.
