In our Operations Department in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich we are now hiring for the following position Flight Dynamics and Planning Engineer fmd Your Mission The Flight Dynamics and Planning teams inside the Galileo Project will be supporting and cooperating together with Flight, Space Segment, Ground, Mission and Training teams for the preparation, scheduling and in some cases execution of all operations required for Galileo constellation and its Ground Segment, from LEOP to routine, until EndofLife EoL and disposal, also including the handling of potential contingencies on Ground andor Space Segment levels. In particular, as Flight Dynamics Engineer, you will be responsible for orbit and attitude determination and prediction, provision of products and support to operations, orbit manoeuvres planning and execution, collision risk assessment, as well as many mission analyses. As Planning Engineer, you will be in charge of delivering on a weekly basis the Operational Timeline for the Galileo Project and associated Team Plan. EPSSG System Planning Service 1913056 Job Description We are looking for a System Planning Engineer for our customer, EUMETSAT. You will focus on defining and maintaining the EPSSG system development logic, schedule, all subsystem interactions and to report system schedule changes. The EPSSG system covers the space segment satellite and instruments, ground segment, satellite application facilities SAFs, launcher service and LEOP service, as well as the corresponding Integration, Verification Validation IVV and operations preparation activities. Satellite development is carried out under ESA responsibility but must be coordinated with all other EUMETSAT developments, and all of its interactions with the rest of the system will be defined as part of this activity. The tasks and responsibilities to be undertaken during the EPSSG Phase C and Phase D will typically include the following Maintain the system development logic covering all system elements, up to the time of the handover of the last satellite to the Operations Department Maintain a detailed system development schedule in coordination with all subsystems and partners, together with a critical path analysis of each version of the schedule Identify all interactions between subsystems and partners, and associate them with main system development milestones and the program work breakdown structure Provide inputs to the sections of the System Development Plan concerning system development logic, schedule and interactions Prepare and maintain Interactions Documents for partners, defining all interactions between subsystems, together with their need dates. Interactions will cover such areas as Deliverables hardware, software, databases, documentation, algorithms, test data sets, tools, configuration statuses Support mutual review support, joint test and operational rehearsals preparation and execution, test data analyses Access to services, sites, facilities, infrastructure and interfaces Manage the configuration of all schedule and Interactions Documents versions Follow up all subsystem developments and participate in any necessary meetings and reviews Track progress against agreed development plans and Interaction Documents and signal any likely or identified deviations from these plans, together with proposals to reduce the impact of any delays Provide regular tracking metrics and summary reports on system development progress against the development schedule and the status of interactions Travel within Europe, to the United States and possibly other parts of the world may have to be undertaken for certain tasks.
