ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY Provide stationwide technical support for all teleport operation, installation, and maintenance processes at the Manassas facilities. Also, as required, provide station support through the planning, design, implementation, and configuration of Manassas Ground Ops systems and infrastructure. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Specify technical requirements Evaluate new station hardware Provide 247 oncall support to the Network Operations Center Interface and coordinate with Logistics for shipments Provide local program management oversight Perform maintenance of all station RF, IF and baseband equipment Operate, maintain, install, test, and configure all station RF, IF and baseband equipment Maintain accurate station block and level drawings Provide operational support to PMOCL2 and NOC in trouble resolution as required Respond to station alarms being monitored by MC System COMPETENCIES Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse organization Be able to be on call 24x7x365 for offhours emergencies Be able to lift at least 50 pounds and climb ladders Customercentric communication and interpersonal skills both oral and written Design engineering and implementation experience with SATCOM, broadband, telecommunications, digital video, and TCPIP systems Good knowledge of microwave and satellite techniques and the ability to troubleshoot at system level using test equipment. The IVV and Operational Support Engineer will support the implementation and routine operations of the processing chain in charge of the systematic generation of the data acquired by the Sentinel2 Earth Observation mission. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support the preparation and execution of the testing, integration and acceptance of the single processing modules part of the Sentinel2 production chain. Support the preparation and execution of the endtoend testing of the Sentinel2 production chain with respect to all its external interfaces and services mission planning, auxiliary data gathering, precise orbit determination, mission performance, etc. Support the deployment of the integrated processing chain on public cloud infrastructures. Upon delivery, manage the new releases of the software components part of the processing chain. Verify the documentation and assess the adequacy of the test specifications of the software components and their subsequent updates. Provide support to the monitoring of the routine operations of the Sentinel2 processing chain, in particular in relation to the OnLine Quality Control OLQC carried out systematically on all generated data products. Carry out investigations in case of operational problems and open anomalies, interacting with other team member up to problem resolution.
