The organization is focussed on the design and development of diverse equipment for space applications, like ElectroOptics and Space Mechanisms. The space department is divided into different locations within Norway and as Test Engineer you will be responsible for support to all the teams and projects. Tasks and Responsibilities The key person will be responsible for the management of activities devoted to the development of platform and payloads products for telecommunications satellites including products and hosted payloads ready to gain flight heritage under the responsibility of the Flight Heritage Products and Hosted Payloads Implementation Section including Support initiation of activities related to products for payload and platform applications including the development of telecom products and hosted payloads ready to gain flight heritage Support establishment and control of relevant ESA requirements, specifications and general documentation Evaluation, support to negotiation, monitoring and control of contracts and activities Support or lead design reviews on contracts between the agency and industry Preparation of inputs to status reports Contribute to the preparation of work plans Support other members of TIATTH section on their projects and share expertise within section Monitor market and technology trends and developments in the area of satellite communication Cooperate with the specialists in the other ESA departments Identify any issues during procurement phase, running or closing of an activity, and flag them in a timely manner Support preparation of Papers for Adjudication Committees or Delegate bodies IPC, JCB, with high quality standards Provide input for the Department Business Intelligence tools Support TIA Communication activities in line with the ESA TIA Communication Policy rules. HE Space is seeking a team of 8 telecomms specialists to support the ESA Atlas programme which provides opportunities for industrial partners to gain flight testing of innovative product and service ideas.
