The role would ideally suit a contractor looking for a long term consultancy role within the space industry. The submission deadline for applicants is August 24th 2015. Key Tasks To participate in coordinating the satellite operations activities of other team members and external teams responsible for onboard software management, simulator support, mission control, mission planning, flight dynamics and ground stations. To support system and operations preparation activities, particularly with respect to AOCS related activities. Knowledge Skills Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following mandatory skills, with a particular emphasis on ThreeAxis Stabilised Attitude and Orbit Control Systems Spacecraft monitor and control operations. Spacecraft operations preparation engineering. Low Earth Orbit spacecraft design or Assembly Integration and Test activities at system or subsystem level. Experience with some of the following would be advantageous Inorbit operations of Low Earth Orbit Earth Observation satellites. Experience in the operation or development of satellite ground segment facilities, in particular procedure development, monitor and control, mission planning, onboard software management, performance analysis, configuration management and simulator facilities. The procedure development tool MOIS and the procedure execution language STOL. The mission control systems EPOCH or SCOS. Specification of system and operational concepts, facility requirements. Familiarity with OnBoard Control Procedure and OnBoard Position Scheduler concepts. Familiarity with the ECSS Packet Utilisation Standard, customisation and usage.
