Tasks and Responsibilities Your tasks as Operations Quality Assurance Engineer will include, but not necessarily be limited to the following Contributing to the provision of QA support and advice to members of OPS, to help ensure the correct implementation and performance of operational activities, in accordance with EUMETSATs Management System and all relevant OPS procedural documentation Following selected operational activities, attending relevant operations meetings and identifying any aspects of concern of process QA relevance Reviewing OPS procedural documentation procedures, guides, working practices, etc., ensuring consistency with the OPS documentation library in general and with the document conventions in use Providing assistance guidance in the definition and implementation of processes to members of OPS Supporting assessments of OPS processes and service reviews, recommending improvements where appropriate Establishing, maintaining, analysing and reporting on metrics which provide insight into selected OPS processes and or operational services Supporting Risk Management activities in accordance with the OPS Risk Management Plan organising and advising risk reviews, maintaining risk registers, following up mitigation actions, and producing report information. Requirements Essentials You should bring a university degree or equivalent in a technical subject and at least 3 years experience of a QA process assurance role, preferably in an operational 247 data processing and or serviceprovision environment. Experience of satellite ground segment operations would be of special value. The following attributes are essential for this consultancy position Good knowledge of the ISO 9001 standard Experience of working in an environment where an ISO 9001certified management system is used Good verbal and written communication skills Experience of documenting work activities in the form of process definitions, procedures and working practices, plus good userviewpoint writing skills Experience of QA auditing andor process assessment Skilled in using the Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel and Outlook. The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French. The working language for this position is English and therefore you must be able to work and communicate effectively in this language knowledge of French would be an asset. System Engineer EPSSG Operations Preparation System and Coordination

One of our space clients based in Germany is seeking a system engineer to contribute to the definition and operation preparation of EPS second generation EPSSG. The key person would be a member of the EPSSG Ops Prep Integrated Team OPIT and be involved in supporting the development of the EPSSG system. The support will include general Operation Preparation aspects but will focus on system and coordination responsibilities. Tasks The activities for this consultancy will cover Operation Preparation definition and coordination tasks focusing System Operation aspects. Lead end to end Operation Preparation activities when external entities and partners are involved, in coordination with relevant existing operational interfaces managed in OPS. Deputise System Ops Team Leader in charge of the Ground and System Operation Team. Manage and Coordinate Joint Operation Plans and Operations Interface Control Documents. Support OPS Team leaders in managing the development and validation of end to end System Operation Procedures and Timelines which cover Operations related to Databases, On Board Software and System routinecontingency scenarios. Lead System Timeline procedures definition. Coordinate with OPS team leaders to ensure compliance with existing OPS workflows and processes as per Operations Management Plan OMP. In coordination with OPS teams, contribute to the Reference Operations Plan and ensure coherency with mission concepts. Contribute to SSVT Specification and Organisation Plan and coordinate all SSVT test plans with Satellite and System teams. Ensure coherency and homogeneity of all delivery mechanism to Ops Prep and future Operational usages. Coordinate with OPS the MMI definition and control room layout organisation Ensure focal point of contact for coordination with VV team. Ensure focal point of contact for coordination and Ops Prep support to OGS team. Coordinate communication within Ops Prep team ensure new comer induction and reading materials. Support EPSSG System team for requirement traceability to Operations and Concepts. Skills In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, the Key person shall have a demonstrated experience of at least five years in the field of Spacecraft Operations with specific experience as follow Expertise in space to ground interface and end to end system dataflow ensuring mission data availability to end users. Good system knowledge of the main functional elements of a ground system which are used for the monitoring and control of a satellite. Spacecraft monitor and control operations on SCOS based system. Experience in the operation or development of satellite ground segment facilities, in particular procedure development, monitor and control, mission planning, onboard software management, performance analysis, configuration management and simulator facilities. Demonstrated experience in a similar key role for the definition and validation of specific operation preparation phases such as SSVT, validation campaigns or rehearsals Operation development life cycle and Operation Preparation environment such as procedure editor and databases management tools. Specification of system and operational concepts, facility requirements and external operational interfaces management. The following skills would be considered advantageous Inorbit System operations of Low Earth Orbit Earth Observation satellites. Have demonstrated experience of working in a multipartner programme Good knowledge of working methods and corporate culture of EUMETSAT partners and other agencies such as ESA, LEOPService Provider, DLR, CNES and space industry. Specific Operational phases such as LEOP, SIOV, and Commissioning phases. Configuration management of operation baseline components on operational systems. System development life cycle, phases, reviews and deliverables. System engineering background with System Architecture developed in an MBSE Model Based Systems Engineering approach and system engineering tool CORE. Soft skills o Good English skills are essential and knowledge of French would be an advantage. o Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills and be confident to deal with a wide variety of people. o Work in teams and good interpersonal skills to coordinate with team leaders and key stakeholders as well as in cooperation with industry and partner agencies. o Work proactively with capability to lead a small team, with the minimum of supervision. o Perform effectively under high workloads and be able to adapt to a rapidlychanging timecritical environment. o Conducting activities in an orderly and disciplined manner, working calmly and correctly under stress. o Able to commit to the plan and deliver the expected results on time or to report proactively if any deviations are foreseen.
