JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks The consultant shall provide support to the development and operation of the Copernicus Sentinel3 Ground Segment, as well as its evolution. Main duties will include the support to System operations in a realtime operations environment Manual and Automated system and satellite operations including planning and scheduling. Flight operations segment monitoring and reporting Communications systems operations Security operations Ensuring Business Continuity System Evolutions. The consultant will be responsible for the definition andor maintenance of the routine operations procedures pertaining to system operations and the interfaces of the key systems within the Sentinel3 ground segment, in accordance with the established EUMETSAT Operations Department configuration management and quality assurance practices. The consultant will acquire and maintain a Systemwide view of the Sentinel3 ground segment. In particular, the consultant will maintain operational expertise on all aspects of the FOS. The consultant will review any planned changes to the system configurations for the Sentinel3 ground segment, and support the investigation of anomalies encountered through the routine system and ground segment operations. The consultant will provide support to the development and operations preparation for recurrent Sentinel3 satellites. The consultant will interface with project teams on the implementation of system upgrades to support major operations projects, including System MidTerm Evolution Plan, recurrent satellites, and any System hardware and operating system obsolescence upgrade.
