Summary We are looking for a Software Architect to support pivotal project work over the coming months and years, as well as offering the chance to support with bid and proposal writing to shape future projects. Telespazio is looking to fill a diverse and critical role to support our broad Space systems architecture work covering missions across UK and European, in civil and defence. Duties Responsibilities Software Architect Software Design Authority responsible for the design of software based Ground Segment Systems, potentially including Launch systems Monitoring and Control Segment Systems Mission Systems User Segment Systems Earth Observation Data Management Systems Design and develop solutions utilising state of the art software architectures and techniques Plan and execute Integration and Test campaigns Production of documents technical and also development plans Preparation and participation in technical reviews Preparation of proposals to win new work including Understanding of the technical requirements and the context within the overall project scope. Specification of the solution, trading off alternatives Writing clear, concise, technical proposals to express the solution and its benefits to the client Software Development As required, the role can require handson software development support to projects e.g. coding of critical areas, code review, prototypingvalidating approaches frameworks to be adopted. Qualifications Experience University Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering or related discipline with software modules. System Architect

Position Reference 966 We are currently looking for a System Engineer to work in the RHEA Office in the city of Frascati, Italy. The System Architect will be responsible for supporting the implementation and subsequent monitoring of the performances of the Sentinel2 Production Service PS, in charge of the systematic generation of the data products of such satellite mission. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Coordinate the design, implementation, validation and delivery of the PS infrastructure. Verify the compliance of the PS infrastructure with the system operations requirements. Monitor and report on the reliability and performances of the PS implementation, including the preparation of dedicated technical notes. Define evolutions of the PS architecture and the Quality Control subsystem in response to evolving requirements. Continuously monitor and report on The reliability and performance of the actual PS implementation The appropriateness of the PS technical provisions for fulfilling the service requirements and SLA The impacts of the PDGS Operations activities anomaly resolutions, patches, workarounds, etc and Evolution activities new PDGS components versions and their possible impacts on the performance of the mission The correct alignment of the PS software versions deployed with the Technical Baseline requested by ESA. Define and document the requirements for system evolutions, as of the update of service needs. Coordinate the design, implementation, validation and delivery of Evolutions involving the various actors experts, external services, Operations, etc so the Evolutions delivery impact is mitigated, with low or no impact on the Operations. Technical assessment of system evolutions with the preparation of dedicated technical notes. Technical analysis of potential system evolutions as a result of changes to the external interfaces, satellite operations or ESA requirements. Technical definition of system updates. Support the System Technical manager on all aspects related to data processing and Quality Control subsystems within the overall PS system architecture. Define evolutions of the processing chain architecture, hardware and software, and of the Quality Control subsystem, in response to evolving requirements. Support the IVV process and reporting following maintenance and evolutions activities. Support the anomaly management process until the closure of the anomalies. Support adhoc data processing and product analysis in support of the investigations. Provide technical expertise in data processing, and product data quality domains to support the maintenance in operations and the definition of evolutions of the PDGS in this area. Support the Anomaly Management process in the investigation and resolution of anomalies of the data processing or Quality Control subsystems. Support the validation of softwarehardwareconfiguration changes prior and after transfer into operations. Generation of specific technical notes, plans, prototype toolsinterfaces and reports resulting from the above activities. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree in Engineering or a technical field that provides similar competences. At least 5 years of experience in Earth Observation Processing Systems design, implementation, integration, verification and operations. Good understanding of the Sentinel2 mission and Ground Segment. Good communication and organisation skills. Teamwork capabilities. Ability to work autonomously.
