ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The TFM Engineer will work on design, tendering and monitoring of building construction and related infrastructure systems like power, HVAC, fire detection and suppression systems, SafteySecurity as well as related control systems. Heshe supports the TFM Manager Americas in project managing infrastructure project for Americas. Heshe will be in close contact with matter experts within the Global FM CRE team including the CAD design team as well as with local site leads, Finance, Legal and other internal groups in the organization as required for the successful project implementation. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Support infrastructure projects on design, budgeting, project managing and execution supervision Perform energy optimization analysis and develop improvement solutions Preparation completion of asbuild documentation WIKI and operation instruction Carry out CAD works when required in close coordination with the CAD team on ACAD and INVENTER with 2D and 3D drawings when needed Support local site leads in planning and coordination of TFM system training and development of staff Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies Planning and coordinating infrastructure upgrades and end of life asset management Efficiently implementexecute the related full project lifecycles from budgeting via projectprogram management to the operational 2nd3rd level support Prepare and manage project budgets in conformance with established guidelines and requirements Establishmaintain close working relations with local authorities to ensure timely and strategic facility upgradeexpansion support Participate in the formulation of the SES Strategic Plan, regarding infrastructure expansion or optimization Monitor the TFM expenses detecting inefficiencies and creating synergies Support GFM Team lead as FM matter expert in common policies and procedures for the GFM operation of offices, teleports, gateways and other technical structures in coordination with relevant stakeholders. This shall include Engineering and Project Management tasks when required on a global base Participate in predictive and preventive maintenance excellence initiatives in the Americas COMPETENCIES Sound analytical skills, innovative mind, coordination priority setting capacity, problem solving, decisionmaking skills, strong negotiation and intercultural skills as well as the ability to provide practical conclusions High level of integrity and full commitment Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to identify and effectively implement change Resilience Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE A recognized Mechanical Electrical Engineering degree BSMS or similar Minimum of 3 years relevant Facility Management, Engineering and Project Management experience and worked successfully as Systems or Facilities Engineer andor as Project or Program Manager Familiarity on the maintenance and testing of electrical systems including emergency power systems, uninterruptable power supplies, transfer switches and power distributions Proven experience in office tools like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, AutoCad, MS Project or similar Fluency in written and oral English, other languages considered as and asset Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse organization. Has successfully integrated into an international environment, is able and willing to travel internationally and able to communicate with international external peers as well as with SES customers. Specific Tasks Act as a team member of the ESA Corporate Video Conferencing Service, with the following responsibilities Video conferences are correctly booked and configured in accordance with ESA Policies and procedures. Maximum utilisation of the available resources is achieved through efficient booking. Realtime monitoring of VIP conferences, with proactive intervention when required. Provide a realtime help and assistance service for ongoing video conferences across the Agency. Act as a singlepoint of contact for external parties who wish to interface to the ESA Video Conference facilities. Deliver an excellent customer experience through the provision of Corporate Video Conference service. Coordinate fault resolution activities between technical and facility suppliers to restore service in the fastest possible time. Coordinating service delivery with internal and external interfaces, such as o Facility Management Teams in all ESA centres o ESA ICT Service Managers and Suppliers o The ESA Communications Teams At local ESTEC level, contribute to the correct setup of all the public Video Conferencing facilities o Videoconference facilities and locations are neat, tidy and appropriately configured. o All equipment in the video conference locations is functioning correctly. Check routinely that all ESA sites are harmonised and are providing a similar quality of service in all locations. Apply the internal Quality Management processes to the delivery of the video conferencing service and coordinate process management with the ESA Quality Management team. Contribute to the production of the monthly utilisation and operations reporting, as defined by the head of the Video Conferencing service. Requirements As per Job Class with at least five years experience in ICT service and operations management. Affinity to high quality customer service or support diplomatic when interacting with customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English, French German Italian knowledge are additional assets. Experience with telephone and video conferencing systems and protocols. Be able to work unsupervised. Flexible attitude, able to cope with high workload pressure, successoriented, available for occasional extra hours coverage. Quick to learn. Previous ESA experience is an additional asset.

Specific Tasks The Work Package covers the provision of electrical, mechanical, civil and maintenance engineering support to the ECSAT Site Manager. It relates to management support of an outsourced performance based FM hard services contract covering the maintenance and operation of the ECSAT site, as well as support to small projects in the civil, mechanical and electrical domains. Support to rollout of the ECSAT CIFM database and upkeep of the data Adhoc support to ECSAT Site Manager Requirements Master Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience Specific Competence Requirements.
