Galileo Satellite Navigation System and Analysis Engineer

We are currently looking for a Galileo Satellite Navigation System and Analysis Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of a dynamic team, you will have the following responsibilities Contributions to the development, implementation and application of Galileo, as well as future system concepts and algorithms Implementation of system analyses for performance optimization and modelling Extension of system algorithms and their simulation by means of own software Support in the areas Algorithm optimization, modelling of user errors, Precise Positioning PPP, Parameter Estimation, Sensitivity Studies Service Simulation, Extended Integrity concepts ARAIM Detailed analysis and interpretation of the recorded data from GNSS receivers and smartphone tracked GNSS measurement data and comparison with systembased expected values Planning, definition and implementation of measurement campaigns Responsibility for the coordination of the work and coordination with the customer Supervision of the international working group on the Android GNSS raw data use for various applications Preparation of technical documentation. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Min. Master degree or Diploma in at least one of the following domains Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, Geo Informatics, Astronomy or Telecommunication Engineering Experience in the field of algorithm development, parameter estimation, data analysis mandatory Knowledge of the system structure and algorithms of GNSS on the system side path determination, time synchronization, data transfer, signal propagation or user side positioning, data correction, safety of life, precision point positioning are desirable Knowledge in programming with Android, C, Python, MATLAB, Java as well as Version control are desired Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Knowledge of satellitebased navigation systems, navigation signals, and receiver architecture. Experience in SW development and good knowledge of C. Good understanding of GNSS receiver technology and signal processing techniques inside GNSS receivers is considered an asset. Alternatively, experience with INS integration, sensors fusion, and integrityRAIM is considered an asset. The candidate shall be in possession of a national security clearance or in the position to acquire one. A fluent level of English language is required.
