Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Supporting the design, development and verification of a Synthetic Aperture Radar SAR instrument within the context of a Satellite Earth Observation Programme BIOMASS Defining the instrument development approach and tracking instrument and component development Defining the qualification, acceptance and verification test programme, test objectives and associated model philosophy Reviewing the status of all critical technologies, to assess the technological readiness and risks and confirm consistency with the overall project development plans and schedule Reviewing the status of part procurement, identifying critical Long Lead Items on the schedule, and proposing risk mitigation measures for the schedule Ensuring that verification methods have been properly defined for all requirements Supporting the instrument test programme Reviewing the results of model testing at instrument and equipment levels and confirming consistency with design and requirement specifications This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
