The successful applicant will join Microwave Systems. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Supporting the design, development and verification of a Synthetic Aperture Radar SAR instrument within the context of a Satellite Earth Observation Programme BIOMASS Defining the instrument development approach and tracking instrument and component development Defining the qualification, acceptance and verification test programme, test objectives and associated model philosophy Reviewing the status of all critical technologies, to assess the technological readiness and risks and confirm consistency with the overall project development plans and schedule Reviewing the status of part procurement, identifying critical Long Lead Items on the schedule, and proposing risk mitigation measures for the schedule Ensuring that verification methods have been properly defined for all requirements Supporting the instrument test programme Reviewing the results of model testing at instrument and equipment levels and confirming consistency with design and requirement specifications This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. Instrument Data Processing Engineer 1613073 Job Description We are looking for an Instrument Data Processing Engineer to support our client EUMETSAT. You shall support the Sentinel3 Operations with respect to EUMETSATs Marine Payload Data Ground Segment PDGS maintenance in particular anomaly correction and software release processes in the area of data processing systems from instrument source packet level through to level2. Your duties will include a range of tasks, from preparing and providing the support of the day to day operations and maintenance currently in the launch preparation phase, the analysis and testing of the facilities including the handling of anomalies, and the design of upgrades and configuration changes for these facilities. You shall support the team acting as the focal point for integrating the individual software components into the related data processing systems, covering all aspects of system integration and testing, including support to the endtoend testing of the complete production system. You will also cover the contribution to the settingup and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures as well as the coordination with external providers of maintenance services. This may also entail the participation in the specification and development of monitoring tools for Sentinel3. In support to operations, you may also be required to provide oncall support as part of a team of maintenance engineers. For one of our main customers ESAESTEC, we are currently looking for an Instrument Quality Tool Engineer to lend support in the MTG Programme. Tasks The incumbent will report to the MTGI Product and System Manager, Earth Observation Projects Department, and will be in charge of Follow up the development and procurement of the IRS Quality Tools IQTS, its algorithms and associated tools Follow up the development and procurement of the IRS Payload Data Generator PDG Follow up the definition of the IRS algorithms for simulation, on board processing, and Level 1 ground processing Provide technical support to Satellite and Instrument reviews Provide support to the IRS calibration characterisation onground and inflight activities Provide support to the Validation Verification of the tools.
